Swedish gaming company Thunderful has announced that CFO (Chief Financial Officer) Anders Maiqvist has decided to leave. The company said he will continue to serve as an advisor to the acquisition of its games division. Maiqvist will remain in office until a successor is determined and a replacement is currently being recruited.
Anders Maiqvist joined Thunderful in 2019 as Chief Financial Officer, and prior to that, he held the same role at Bergsala Holding AB.
Maiqvist expressed his gratitude for his time as CFO at Thunderful and the progress the team has made during that time. In the IPO roadshow in the fall of 2020, the company set a goal of completing one acquisition per quarter. Now Thunderful has acquired a game company that doubled expectations, which is clearly a successful component of the company's growth strategy.
Thunderful acquired Robot Teddy Studios, which specializes in gaming industry consulting and business development, in October last year, and its business scope includes well-known games such as "Among Us", "Hot VR" and "What the Golf". Earlier, Thunderful also acquired Image & Form Studios and made the studio famous with World of Steam.
