Furong Guo commented丨 Promote self-revolution and help govern the party strictly

At the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Discipline Inspection Commission on January 18, General Secretary Xi Jinping profoundly summed it up: "Over the past hundred years, outside the Party, it has relied on developing people's democracy and accepting supervision by the people, relying internally on comprehensively and strictly administering the Party, promoting self-revolution, having the courage to adhere to the truth and correct mistakes, and having the courage to turn the blade inward and scrape the bones to cure poison, ensuring the party's longevity and continuous development and growth." ”

The courage to carry out self-revolution and to strictly manage the party and administer the party are the most distinctive qualities of our party. "Turning the blade inward and scraping the bones to cure poison" is a necessary means to promote "self-revolution.". Over the past hundred years, it is under all the people-centered concepts that the Chinese Communists have constantly "self-revolutionized," adhered to the truth, and corrected mistakes, so that they could forge ahead in the torrent of history. Today, when we are building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way and sprinting toward the second centennial goal, every party member and cadre should implement the "self-revolution" in a down-to-earth manner in terms of morality, discipline, and law, so as to gather up a mighty force and further deepen the strict management of the party, so that the party contingent will always be young.

Benchmark the "moral high line" and improve self-cultivation. Tao Xingzhi said: "Morality is the foundation of being a human being. Even if you have some knowledge and skills, it is of little use. We often use "high moral integrity" to express our admiration for old comrades and old predecessors, and the "moral high" here is the premise of "respect", if there is no noble "morality", then "hope" may also be the opposite. Comrade Liu Shaoqi's "On the Cultivation of Communist Party Members" for the first time in the history of our Party has systematically expounded the issue of the cultivation of Communist Party members; it was born in the revolutionary war years and was written in light of China's national conditions at that time; it has always been an important document of the Communist Party of China in conducting ideological education for Party members and enhancing their political consciousness, and has played an extremely important role in improving the self-cultivation of Party members. With the development and changes of the times, the "cultivation" of party members and cadres in the new period has been given more connotations, especially in the "value" and "faith" of life, which must be integrated into the content of the times. Therefore, the vast number of party members and cadres have always benchmarked the "moral high line", improved their moral cultivation, and enjoyed it in the course of starting a business.

Do not touch the "disciplinary red line" and enhance self-discipline. Marx said: "We must now absolutely maintain the discipline of the Party, otherwise nothing will be achieved." For party members and cadres, "discipline" should include six aspects, namely, political discipline, organizational discipline, honest discipline, mass discipline, work discipline, and life discipline. Among these six "disciplines," "political discipline" is the main premise, and if a party member cannot strictly abide by "political discipline," it will be difficult to abide by other disciplines. When these disciplines are further refined, they are not simply commuting to and from work, but basically include the scope of activities of party members and cadres. Therefore, it is necessary to have a precaution in mind at all times in order not to touch the "red line of discipline.". Only by always benchmarking the "discipline" red line, putting oneself in it, putting one's responsibilities in it, putting one's work in it, and strengthening self-restraint can we prevent problems in discipline before they occur.

Do not cross the "legal bottom line" and stay away from illegal crimes. Aristotle said, "Law is order, and good law leads to good order." "Discipline and law are closely linked and there are obvious differences, and looking at those party members and cadres who have fallen from power, their trend is generally to violate discipline first, and violations of law to come later." From violating discipline to breaking the law, sometimes it's just one step away. In relevant reports, some fallen officials have said that "I have violated discipline, but there is absolutely no violation of the law." What absurd logic. It should be noted that once the violation of discipline begins, it is difficult to think of not breaking the law. The "legal bottom line" drawn by party discipline and state law is to give profound warnings to party members and cadres. Always benchmark the "legal bottom line", find that there is a violation of discipline, "make up for the dead sheep", take the initiative to correct, and those who have not violated discipline should spur more encouragement on themselves, so as to "encourage nothing", so as to stay away from illegal crimes, maintain normal order, and achieve a life without regrets.

"Dripping water merges into a great river, and gravel piles up into an island." Our party is already a party with more than 95 million members, and it is gathering a mighty force to roll forward. And this huge energy comes from the wise leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, and from the convergence of the strength of every party member and comrade. Every party member is a drop of water in this rolling tide, and only by always benchmarking the "moral high line," not touching the "red line of discipline," not crossing the "legal bottom line," elevating one's political, ideological, and moral realms, and having the consciousness to face problems squarely and the courage to turn the blade inward, can they converge into a rolling torrent and forge ahead in the continuous "self-revolution."
