In a terrorist cash truck robbery in Cape Town, South Africa, on January 18, more than 10 militants ambushed and attacked, first shooting at drivers and security guards, then using explosives to blow up the door of the cash truck, robbing a large amount of cash and escaping. It is reported that when one man stuffed a large stack of banknotes into his pants, he grinned happily, and another man held the money with both hands, and the scene was chaotic until the police arrived at the scene and whistled before panicking and leaving.

When the police arrived, they opened fire on the fleeing armed robbers' cars, and a shootout broke out between the two sides, eventually shooting 2 men and arresting 4 people, but other members still fled the scene and stole an unknown amount of cash.

The four men known to have been arrested will appear in court and face charges of robbery with guns, attempted murder, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition and burst devices.
