After the revision, the scoring behavior was reduced from the original 52 to 50.
The new rules maintain the deduction of points for violations of serious obstruction of traffic safety, such as drunk driving, traffic hit-and-run, serious speeding, the use of forged and altered license plates, etc., which are still stipulated as a 12-point deduction at a time.
01 The new regulations reduce the value of some of the deducted points
For example, for driving a motor vehicle that does not install a motor vehicle number plate in accordance with the regulations, the provisions are reduced from the original deduction of 12 points to 3 points at a time, which is the largest reduction in scores.
Driving a motor vehicle that does not conform to the quasi-driving type, does not hang a number plate, and deliberately obscures or defaces the number plate of the motor vehicle is deducted from 12 points at a time to 9 points.
02 No points will be deducted for these acts
If the car is not placed inspection signs, insurance signs;

03 The new regulations add some deduction items

04 The new regulations have raised some of the deducted points
Driving a motor vehicle other than a passenger car to park in the highway or urban expressway lane, the deduction is increased from 6 points to 9 points;
If you make a call to or receive a handheld phone while driving a motor vehicle, it will be increased from 2 points to 3 points.
05 The new regulations stipulate the method of "returning blood" to the score

Why are the scoring rules changing?
The Traffic Violation Scoring Rules are a system established after the promulgation of the Mainland Road Traffic Safety Law in 2004. In the same year, the Ministry of Public Security issued the Regulations on the Application and Use of Motor Vehicle Driving Licenses, which clarified the scoring behavior and scoring value in the form of an annex.
In order to achieve unified coordination with important laws such as the Civil Code and the Administrative Punishment Law, it is necessary to make corresponding adjustments to the management of driver's license scoring.
Fully embodying the spirit of blending leniency with severity is one of the outstanding characteristics of the new regulations.
