For a long time, in the face of the dilemma of the gradual disappearance of wild yellow croaker, fishery authorities at all levels have followed up and adopted a series of effective protection and management measures for the restoration and conservation of wild yellow croaker. It mainly includes the establishment of spawning farm protection areas, continuous breeding and stocking, and the implementation of strict fishery management measures.

Through the above various conservation techniques and management methods, the restoration effect of large yellow croaker resources is more obvious. According to statistics, since 2015, the production of yellow croaker in Zhejiang Province has begun to show an increasing trend after more than 20 years of continuous decline, reaching nearly 1,000 tons by 2020. According to the latest data, the density index of yellow croaker in November 2021 was 113.9 kg per square kilometer, which is a significant improvement over the same period in 2020. In recent years, the proportion of yellow croaker catches has been increasing, according to the survey, in the past three years of market sales of small yellow croaker, the proportion of large yellow croaker has been increasing, accounting for about 7% of the total catch of large and small yellow croaker.
