Atlantis: The Lost Empire

A large explosion in the distance triggered a major flood, and the island of Atlantis was facing extinction. As the city retreated, a strange blue glow suddenly appeared on the Queen of Atlantis, lifting her up and sending her into the Heart of Atlantis, a powerful crystal that protected the city. The queen disappears into the crystal, when a circular barrier appears over the city, protecting the innermost part of the city. The Queen's daughter Princess Kittan and King Kishekin Nedak both survived and sank to the bottom of the sea along with the island.

Ten thousand years later, in 1914, the Smithsonian Society linguist and cartographer Myro Deich believed he had found the Book of the Shepherd, an ancient manuscript that said contained the location of the island of Atlantis. He proposed to the museum board to search for the manuscript but was rejected, and previous research on Atlantis has made him a laughingstock. Later, a mysterious woman named Helge Sinclair introduces Mero to Preston Mercury. B. Whitmore, a millionaire with an eccentric temperament. Whitmore had previously successfully retrieved the Book of the Shepherd by funding an operation, and in order to repay Miro's grandfather's kindness, he asked Miro to decrypt the manuscript, and the subsequent expedition would be under his command.

Lieutenant Colonel Locke, commander of the expedition to retrieve the Book of the Shepherd, leads a team of experts on a journey with Miro in search of Atlantis. These include demolition specialist Vinnie, geologist Moore, medical officer Dr. Sweet, radio operator Mrs. Packard, mechanic Audrey and Chef Cookie. Their giant submarine, the Ulysses, was soon attacked by the terrifying Leviathan, a robot that looked somewhat lobster-like and guarded the entrance to Atlantis. The Ulysses was destroyed by it, but Myro and the others managed to escape and found the entrance, as depicted in the Book of the Shepherd.

After passing through a series of caves and dormant volcanoes, the group reached Atlantis. They were welcomed by the young girl Jitan, but she only looked young, and had actually lived for more than ten thousand years, and the crowd soon discovered that Atlantean was the basis of many existing languages, and that it was because of this that the people of Atlantis were able to understand English. Ji Tan asked Miro to help him decipher the written language of Atlantis, which had long been forgotten by the locals. The two swim together into the flooded ruins of the city and decipher the underwater murals, discovering that the Heart of Atlantis was originally the source of energy for the entire city, and could also make them healthy and long-lived through the crystal necklaces that surrounded people's necks. Miro was surprised that the Book of the Shepherd did not record these contents, but upon examination it revealed that one page of the original manuscript was missing.

After returning to the Atlantis ground with JiTan, Miro discovers that the lost page has been taken by Locke, who betrays Miro and his party and intends to bring the crystal back to the ground for sale. The king of Atlantis was mortally wounded by Locke's torture, but still refused to reveal the location of the crystal, but Locke found the crystal hidden under the king's throne room. Crystal senses that a threat is approaching and merges with Ji Tan's necklace. Locke and the mercenaries locked Ji Tan in a cage and prepared to return to the surface. Knowing that the entire atlantis would be destroyed after Crystal left, Miro berates his friends for betraying their conscience, and finally succeeds in convincing them to abandon Locke and stay in Atlantis. The King tells Miro that Crystal is self-aware and will find the royal bloodline when Atlantis is in danger. Before dying, he gives his crystal to Miro, begging him to save Jitan and Atlantis. Encouraged by Sweet, Miro joins forces with friends and citizens of Atlantis to stop Locke.

The two sides fought a great battle in the volcano, Helga and a group of mercenaries were defeated, Andiro slashed Locke's hand with a crystal fragment, and a wave of magic gradually turned him into stone, and then crashed into the propeller of his own air ship. Just as Mike and the others were returning to Atlantis with the crystal, the volcano erupted. As lava approaches the city, Jida transforms into crystals and soars into the sky, forming a protective shield. After the molten shore receded, Atlantis was safe and sound, and the crystal returned to JiTan and Miro. The undead crew returned to the surface and promised to keep Atlantis' experience a secret. Miro is now in love with JiTan, and he stays behind to help her rebuild the lost empire.
