Earlier than now, I had a mock interview with a classmate, and his past experience of job hopping and starting a business for 3 months could not be said well. It seems that no matter what reason he says, he will be challenged by the interviewer, and then worry about not answering well, appearing to be "so ambitious" and "impetuous".
I think: you are impetuous in yourself, of course, it will show up. So what to do? It is still necessary to deal with the root causes.
First, there must be a real reason for you to jump ship.
Find the truest reason, then you as a person can accept the reason, usually other human creatures can also accept. So you start with the complete logic.
This classmate has always been a medium. The first company was two years old, and after joining the company, I just started to get good grades, and I also grew, so I was very confident and fulfilled. However, in the second half of the year, the leader did not give resources, but asked him to produce results, including the budget and the support of other departments. He felt that he was holding back and started his own business.
After starting a business, in fact, I also made money, but it was unstable, sometimes I earned 10,000 a month, and sometimes I didn't open it for a month. He also found that within a few months, the resources in his hands were exhausted, and he had to re-open up, so he might not have income for several months. He panicked, so he decided to find a company to do, and he needed to pay social security for a few months of entrepreneurship, which also made him realize that his wealth accumulation was too small, and he hoped to save more money.
This story, logical and smooth, can be accepted by employers. Here's the order of descriptions I recommend:
First, I joined the last company, and I gained a lot, grew a lot, and had real achievements. This is the truth, and it also means that you are not a white-eyed wolf.
Second, but gradually the work is difficult to carry out, the company's investment in the media promotion of this piece of resources is not enough, I think it can not be carried out. At this time, the interviewer may challenge you, "Then how many resources do you want", you say so, for example, if you want to promote a massager at that time, then I need what information the marketing department needs, and I think how much cost is required for channel promotion, but the leader is delayed. In this story, you can also talk about your own analysis of the cost performance of each channel, which is called professionalism.
Third, I tried to start a business in the middle, but found that the difficulty and pressure were great, I was too young, and I did not have enough resources and wealth. So I want to work hard for the next few years.
Finally, in fact, the biggest advantage of this classmate is that he tosses these, but he has always been in one field, so the verticality of career planning and career path is very high.
Then after sorting out the above logic, this student has both professionalism and personality, that is, the real personal pursuit, and the truth is reasonable.
Second, what if you worry that your experiences are not so matched?
This classmate failed in past interviews, and there is another problem, that is, his experience in the past, the main experience is on WeChat and Xiaohongshu, and Douyin does not do much. Now many companies focus on vibrato, so they worry that they are not enough to match.
This classmate's thinking reminds me of the previous job search for a master's degree in communication engineering. The interviewer asks: How well do you master the C language? He replied: My supervisor is a hardware direction, so after studying for a master's degree, I don't use C much, but I have a good undergraduate C linguistics...
Your explanation is not honest but weak-minded, in fact, you are worried that you are not competent, and explain the problem in advance to protect your self-esteem.
Take myself as an example, for example, in my job, 80% of it is career case counseling for college students, then 20% is career planning counseling for teenagers. At this time, if a high school finds me to talk about cooperation, I will focus on my understanding of the needs of adolescent career planning, the summary of pain points, case experience, and professional techniques in the negotiation, that is, I talk about what I have, instead of first declaring "I usually do not invest more in teenagers than college students, in case I am not strong enough, you must forgive me."
Is my strategy packaging? No, it's professionalism, it's carefully sorting out what I have, showing it to Party A or the employer, and finally Party A will decide for itself whether I'm competent or not.
Maybe the key business that this company needs is not your past focus, but you show your understanding and experience of this business, show your professionalism, and leave the rest to the employer to decide for themselves.

The students I conducted mock interviews above, the previous interviews, have always had a feeling of being cross-examined. why? In fact, you obviously have real inner enthusiasm and professional accumulation, but you have been scattered by yourself.
Good interview preparation is to be self-motivated. Specific self-mobilization is divided into three steps:
The first step is to truly retrace your own experience along the way, and then analyze the basis for each node selection. That's why, when I do career coaching, I always carpet the past.
The second step, the company you are about to interview, do you really want to join? Imagine that after you join the company, you walk into this office every day, facing these jobs, do you expect it? This step is actually difficult, because some students, the goal of their job search is not to be internally active, but a compromise of the crowd, or a stopgap measure. This is difficult, which has to push forward the career planning, no longer within the scope of my article today.
The third step, the position you are interviewing for today, can you really do it? Note that the competent here is basically 60% competent. Because you think, if a job, you can 100% competent, are all familiar skills and experience, then you really need such a position?
After completing the above three steps, your heart is complete and transparent and powerful, and you will take the initiative to express it in the interview, and you will not fall into the situation of being questioned and panicked.
