On the 20th, the reporter met the inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage of the Tibetan carpet weaving technique of the Jiaya Tibetan people in the Jiaya Tibetan Carpet Weaving Training Institute - 59-year-old Yang Yongliang. He was sitting in front of the blanket rack.

"The way we weave blankets is this way of weaving, repeating this action all day long, and weaving a blanket is like this." This weaving method is called '8' button, when the blanket is woven to the position of the flower, just wrap the thread around the baseline and tighten it. Yang Yongliang introduced to reporters.

Archaeological data show that the ancestors living on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau mastered the weaving skills of the original Tibetan carpet 3,000 years ago. During the Qing Dynasty, due to the expansion of the famous Tibetan Buddhist monastery Taal Monastery, there was an urgent need to decorate the carpet weaving and the prayer hall cushion, and the Tibetan carpet gradually rose in the village of Jiaya, a few kilometers away from the Taal Temple. Yang Yongliang has been learning the tibetan carpet making process with his father since he was nine years old, and more than forty years have passed in a flash.

"The raw materials for the Jaga Tibetan carpet come from naturally stocked Tibetan wool, yak wool, camel wool and so on. Carpet spinning thread is dyed at low temperature with plant dyes, so that the wool quality of the carpet is not easy to damage, the finished product spun is brilliant in color, and a blanket can be used by three generations. Yang Yongliang said that adding teeth and tibetan carpets is made up of more than a dozen processes, the first is to select hair, followed by twisting, dyeing, clumping, strength, locking and so on. The technical content of dyeing is relatively high, the quality of a blanket is mainly dying, and the integration of Tibetan and Han cultures is also one of the highlights.

With the development of the times, the traditional Tibetan carpet making technique is on the verge of being "lost" step by step. The rapid mass production of woven blankets has brought an impact on traditional handmade tibetan carpets. Due to the complex and delicate production process of the dental blanket and the long time consuming, a qualified dental blanket often takes months or even years from the selection of materials to the completion of the production. At present, few young people are willing to systematically learn the traditional Tibetan carpet making process.

"Like our blanket is a person, a person who doesn't talk all the time. You also need to think about the pattern problem in your head. Therefore, young people are more slow to accept this monotonous life. Yang Yongliang said that today's Tibetan carpets have slowly become a kind of craft decoration, rather than a practical necessity as in the past. Jiaya Tibetan Carpet wants to usher in the "New Year", not only to conform to the times, but also to integrate modern aesthetics and make bold innovations.

In Qinghai, Yang Yongliang's works and business cards are also placed in museums, tourist attractions and hotels, and many tourists come to pass on the orders placed by the institute. "When I place more orders, I will give orders to other villagers, or let them come to the training center, I will pay a salary, 100 yuan a day, commute to and from work are more flexible, and I can also take care of the children at home." Yang Yongliang said.

The biggest feature of intangible cultural heritage is that it is not divorced from the special way of life and production of the nation, and it is the manifestation of the "living" of the national personality and national aesthetic habits. It exists on the basis of man himself, with voice, image and skill as the means of expression, and is continued by word of mouth as a cultural chain, and is the most vulnerable part of the "living" culture and its traditions.

Therefore, for the process of intangible cultural heritage inheritance, Yang Yongliang is doing his best to complete his mission as the seventh generation of the family, exploring a new way to "revitalize" the tooth and tibetan carpet, so that the ancient skills can be left behind to the greatest extent and passed on.

"In the future development, we need to invite some high-end talents, hire some college students with ideas and market experience in the art department and the management department, and design the Tibetan carpet pattern well." Yang Yongliang said that inheritance cannot rely solely on the next generation, they must also build roads and pave roads for the next generation, and explore larger or new markets. "It's not realistic to talk about inheritance without a market, but it's relatively easy to have a market and a market to inherit." (End)
