This decade is a decade of Huaiju people cutting through thorns, a decade of tenacious struggle, and a decade of fruitful harvests. In 2019, with the unremitting mediation and struggle of the center, the troupe was finally able to return to the original site of Weihai Road, which has been separated for a long time, and successfully completed the planning and repair of infrastructure in the region. At present, the rehearsal hall, Xiao Wenyan performing arts hall, recording studio, etc. have all played a professional business function, and the hardware facilities have been greatly improved, which can better escort the development of huai opera. Under the policy guidance and precise support of the superior units, the Huai Opera Troupe fully felt the innovation and development brought about by the reform of the "one group, one policy" literary and art academy group, and completed the successful transformation of the nature of the public institution from the difference to the full amount.
In recent years, the troupe has deeply implemented the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's series of important speeches, benchmarked key historical nodes such as the comprehensive well-off and the centenary of the founding of the party, and closely focused on the themes of "Chinese Dream", "Patriotism", major revolutions and historical themes, Shanghai characteristic themes, and cultural "going out", and created and completed a number of excellent plays such as "Mr. Wuxun", "Pudong Renjia", "Breaking into Shanghai", "Hanmei" and so on.
It is worth mentioning that the 1958 movie "Daughter of the Party" was released with a warm response. In the same year, the Shanghai Huai Opera Troupe took the lead in bringing it to the stage, and the role of Han Mei, played by the famous Huai opera performance artist Xiao Wenyan, is still a classic on the Huai opera stage. At the beginning of 2020, the Shanghai Huai Opera Troupe launched the development and creation of the script of "Hanmei". In 2021, shanghai Huai opera troupe launched the urban new Huai opera "Hanmei", which has a deep heritage of 63 years and has experienced transformation and innovation in three eras. The "Hanmei" this time is a new rewrite of Luo Huaizhen on the basis of the 1991 version, and it is also an in-depth reflection and text presentation of his Red Revolution opera in the context of the current stage performance.
The troupe adheres to the performance as the central link, based on Shanghai facing the Yangtze River Delta, actively explores the market, cultivates the audience, and successively participates in the theme practice activities led by the center, the international arts festival trade exhibition, the Yangtze River Delta Cultural Fair, the Chinese Small Theater Opera Exhibition, etc., extensively expanding overseas influence, leading Huai opera to go abroad. In addition, with the help of the center's introduction, the troupe has gained more cooperation opportunities with radio, television, print media and new media, making full use of the Internet + concept, strengthening interaction and communication with the audience, and creating a new Huai opera viewing model.

In recent years, Shanghai Huai Opera Troupe attaches great importance to the cultivation and development of young actors, helping them improve their professional ability and professional quality through the combination of training and performance.
