The museum was originally a tree beauty style

Text/Gao Zehong

I remember that it was the spring of 2005, Teacher Xu Peichen led more than 20 students from the Calligraphy Department of Nanjing Normal University to Ma'anshan to collect wind, and we enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Jiangji in Quarry Rock Park, and saw the contemporary Grass Sacred Forest Scattered Art Museum next to Wanzhu Garden, and the Li Baiguan Tomb and TaibaiLou on the mountainside.

In front of The Cursive Couplet of Fan Pei of Lin Sanzhi Art Museum, I stopped and talked with Teacher Xu, who said to me: "Ma'anshan City wants to create three urban cultural business cards of poetry, books and paintings, poetry is Li Bai, books are Lin Sanzhi, paintings are selected by me in the country, the art museum is currently planning and construction, and I am also carefully preparing my own works." ”

At the end of 2007, I suddenly received a call from Mr. Xu, telling me that his art museum would hold an opening ceremony in Ma'anshan Zhuran Cultural Park on New Year's Day in 2008, inviting our classmates to go to the bustle together, and Chang Chang and I and other students witnessed this historic moment.

In the more than ten years from 2008 to 2021, local governments have set up nine art museums for Mr. Xu Peichen, which I have personally witnessed and executed many things. From Lianyungang Huaguo Mountain at the top of Jiangsu to Tianmu Lake in Liyang, from the foothills of Yunlong Mountain in Xuzhou to the ancient town under the river in Huai'an, from the city living room on tianjin coast to the Chinese Water Margin Garden in Dafeng, to the Gefeng Terrace in the hometown of the Han Emperor, I have left my footprints for the opening of the art museum.

And we saw more than 1,000 paintings of Professor Xu Peichen's exquisite works in nine art galleries as large as six feet of the whole twelve-tone screen, as small as a flat foot of the fan, the expression techniques from the brush to the freehand, the paintings cover landscapes, flowers and birds, people, each work is the expression of Mr. Wang's emotions at the end of the pen. In particular, Teacher Xu's ape can be described as a lyrical spirit. He gave the spirit of the ape era, and conveyed the voice-over to everyone in his own pen and ink language - harmony and symbiosis, which is the profound beauty of Xu's art.

For nearly twenty years, I have the impression that the gentleman has been waving his pen before the plate wall, and it is really appropriate to use "swing the board wall to make a public". Therefore, I also thought of using the verse of Bai Juyi's "Selling Charcoal" to describe Teacher Xu, where does Mr. Xu paint? In fact, since Mr. Xu stayed in school in 1976, he has purchased four treasures for each student, taken students to Zhaji, Huangshan, Xishuangbanna and other places at his own expense to sketch, donated funds to build roads for poor mountainous areas, and supported the Red Cross and the Hope Project. However, Teacher Xu's life is too simple to be simple, a bunch of cloth clothes, coarse tea and light rice, the four walls of the home in addition to a few shelves of books and rice paper are painting board walls, he can be said to be extremely harsh on his living life. He spent more energy on the purchase of ancient calligraphy and painting works, Han portrait stones (bricks), Han seals, Han Jane, Han bronzes, Majiayao cultural faience pottery, etc., and the calligraphy and painting cultural relics he purchased were all donated to the art museum set up by the state. Among these famous calligraphy and painting works are Wen Zhengming, Wang Shimin, Wang Jian, Wang Duo, Zheng Banqiao, Jin Nong, Li Fangyi, Li Kun, Wang Wenzhi, Ding Guanpeng, Su Liupeng, Li Ruiqing, Wu Changshuo, Xu Gu, Li Shutong, Huang Binhong, Qi Baishi, Zhang Daqian, Lin Fengmian, Fu Baoshi, Yu Feimin, Gao Qifeng, Guo Moruo, Li Keyan, Li Kuchan, Liu Haisu, Shi Lu, Huang Yin, Pu Ru, Lu Yushao, Liu Jijie, Qian Songyan, Yaming, Song Wenzhi, Wei Zixi, Lin Sanzhi, Guo Weiruo, Qi Gong, Xu Bangda and others. Teacher Xu Peichen once said at a work donation ceremony - "These works can only be appreciated by our family at home, and donating to the country can make more people appreciate", I think this may be the original intention of Teacher Xu to build the museum and realize the aesthetic value of art. He is a teacher, he uses the brush in his hand to preach and teach, he expresses to the public his artistic aesthetic orientation and cultural composition, and at the same time subtly realizes the social value of purifying the public's soul.

Xu Peichen's paintings

Apes are natural treasures, animal primates, human companions. After the appreciation and analysis of Xu Peichen's ape paintings, the commentators have produced a horizontal comparison of artistic cognition, Wu Cheng'en has written monkeys as gods, six-year-old children have refined monkeys, and Xu Peichen has painted monkeys to the end. Here, different forms and fields of artistic creation are compared, and they can reach a wonderful realm. Wu Cheng'en is god-oriented, and at the cultural level, he borrows pen power to make monkeys magically descend demons and demons; six-year-old children are people-oriented, and use their acting skills to make monkeys the ultimate expression of characterization at the mythological level; Xu Peichen takes monkeys as the foundation and uses pen and ink at the artistic level to restore conceptual monkeys to the main body of life in nature, drawing the true nature of monkeys.

Xu Peichen has achieved the unity of painting-oriented, monkey-oriented, and people-oriented aesthetics, and can be declared that his monkey painting creation full of monkey nature has been completed. On the road of philosophical culture and family building, he will continue to explore the historic humanistic space and expand the Garden of Eden for artistic beings.
