During the illness and hospitalization of Academician Pan Ziqiang, the leaders of CNNC and relevant units visited the hospital many times to comfort each other, bringing the concern of the group party group and all the nuclear industry personnel, and actively coordinating treatment-related matters. After the death of Academician Pan Ziqiang, the party group of CNNC immediately congratulated his family and arranged for relevant departments and units to fully assist in the aftermath.

Academician Pan Ziqiang, a native of Yiyang, Hunan Province, is a well-known radiation protection expert in mainland China, graduated from Peking University in 1957. In 1997, he was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. He has successively served as the deputy director, director and investigator of the Institute of Atomic Energy Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the deputy director and director of the Security and Environmental Protection and Health Bureau of the Ministry of Nuclear Industry, the director of the Security and Environmental Protection Health Department and the deputy director of the Science and Technology Commission of the China National Nuclear Corporation, and the researcher and doctoral supervisor of the China Institute of Atomic Energy. He was awarded the Morgan Scholar Award in 1996.

Academician Pan Ziqiang put forward a practical health care physics framework in the early stage of the development of the mainland radiation protection discipline, and completed a number of monitoring technologies and methods in the development of nuclear weapons and nuclear energy, which made significant contributions to the establishment, development and development of the mainland radiation protection discipline system and infrastructure. He took the lead in carrying out, participating in and guiding the completion of the "National Environmental Natural Radioactivity Level Survey"; played an important role in the environmental impact review of the site selection of Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant, providing a technical basis for the environmental impact assessment of nuclear power in the mainland; actively promoted the establishment of the "Nuclear and Radiation Accident Emergency Response System", and presided over the compilation of the "National Radiation Protection Standard" for many times.
