The DPP authorities "promoted the transfer meeting" to throw out a plan to restructure the "Chiang Kai-shek Ji Nian Tang" into a "Retrospective Authoritarian History Park" and planned to remove the bronze statue of Chiang Kai-shek; Zhang Yazhong, president of Sun Wen School, launched a mobilization order to "repay Chiang Kai-shek well, calling on the masses to gather at the "Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall" on the 23rd to defend the "Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall" hand in hand.

Zhang Yazhong said that in view of the fact that the "Promotion of Transfer" strongly advocated the renaming of the "Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall" to the "Memorial Park for Reflection on Authoritarianism" and planned to remove the bronze statue of Chiang Kai-shek from restoration, a member of the citizens did not think that this matter was expected to be indefinite, and at the same time seriously hurt the good values of Taiwanese society.

He pointed out that although Taiwan has experienced some uncomfortable past, the culprit of the "228 Incident" was not Chiang Kai-shek, which was a historical tragedy, and the most victims of the White Terror were actually the left wing and the kuomintang's internal unification faction.

Zhang Yazhong believes that whether the bronze statue should be demolished or not should conform to history, modernity, and justice; the bronze statue represents the common respect of all the ordinary people in Taiwan at that time for Chiang Kai-shek, and if the DPP authorities want another memorial park, it can be set up in other places, but this place is a memorial for many people's spiritual comfort and gratitude to Chiang Kai-shek.

He appealed to the DPP authorities to restrain themselves from the precipice, and also announced that at 1:23 p.m. on Sunday, January 23, an event of "Holding Hands and Protecting the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall" would be held in Freedom Square, hoping that the people who supported the idea would be present to participate in the grand event.

For whether to invite Jiang Wan'an to participate in the event? Zhang Yazhong said that of course, I hope that Chiang Wan'an can participate, and I also hope that the chairman of the Kuomintang, the People's Party and the New Party can also participate, do not regard the bronze statue of Chiang Kai-shek as a matter of one person, one family or one party, this is a matter that belongs to everyone, through this activity to show that Taiwan society is tolerant, and I also hold the attitude of pursuing truth, goodness and beauty in Taiwan society, so I will hold this activity.
