However, with the help of Empress Wu Zetian, this person finally collapsed and defeated.
As we all know, there are many ethnic groups in China, and there are also great differences between the cultures of different nationalities. Although in the process of the historical development of the mainland, ethnic integration and exchanges have always received great attention from the rulers, however, not every stage of ethnic exchanges and integration can be promoted in a peaceful manner.
During the Tang Dynasty, contradictions broke out many times between the Central Plains of the Mainland and Tubo, and once, a Tubo general, Qinling, swept through the four famous generals of the Tang Dynasty, which made the Four Dynasties of the Central Plains crazy about it. However, it was such a famous general who finally fell at the feet of the empress, and its ending also made future generations sigh. When it comes to the Tubo regime, I think many people will think of Songzan Gampo, as the founder of the Tubo regime, Songzan Gampo once married Princess Wencheng. With this act of peace, Tang and Tubo reached friendly exchanges. During the reign of Songtsen Gampo, he also promised the Emperor of the Central Plains that he would always live in harmony with the Tang Dynasty.
However, after the death of Songtsen Gampo, the relationship between the Tang Dynasty and Tibet changed dramatically. At the time of Songtsan Gampo's death, because his son had already died, the throne could only pass to his grandson Mangsong Mangzan, who, due to his relatively young age, became the de facto ruler of the Tubo regime.
Although Lu Dongzan, the father of Thean Qinling, was extremely friendly to the Tang Dynasty, the Nongqin tomb did not inherit this idea. In the process of seizing power in Qinling, he continued to invade the outside world, prompting the further expansion of The Tibetan forces.
With the passage of time, the Tubo power became stronger and stronger, and during the reign of Emperor Gaozong of Tang, Li Zhi, he thought of sending troops to conquer Tubo and avoid the threat of Tubo on the tang border.

However, this idea of the ministers did not come to fruition, and as the Tubo forces became more and more powerful, the Tubo army even annexed more than a dozen Tang Dynasty vassal states in one fell swoop. At this point, Emperor Gaozong of Tang did not intend to continue to be patient, and sent the famous general Xue Rengui to suppress the forces of Qinling.
Although in the years before that, Xue Rengui had made countless military achievements, however, in the course of his battle with Theon Qinling, he ended up in a fiasco.
When Emperor Gaozong of Tang learned of this situation, he was even more angry, and from then on, the Tang Dynasty and Tubo were in a state of stalemate and confrontation. When Wu Zetian ascended to the throne, he was still trying to solve the hidden dangers of Tubo, and by the time Of Wu Zetian had reached the Tubo army led by Qin Ling, it had already maddened the Tianzi of the Four Dynasties and Tang Dynasties.
Although Wu Zetian was a female emperor, she adhered to an iron-fisted policy when faced with the Tubo problem. Faced with the threat of Tubo, Wu Zetian sent Wang Xiaojie and Ashina Zhong to attack Tubo and successfully retake the four towns of Anxi, and at the insistence of Wu Zetian, Datang finally succeeded in gaining the upper hand and gained the opportunity to suppress Tubo forces.
