On the afternoon of January 19, the Foreign Affairs Office of the Provincial Party Committee held a special video link activity for the Spring Festival of "Hometown Is Always Around" to comfort employees in non-Lu enterprises (Ethiopia and Nigeria), and extended festive greetings to more than 160 overseas employees of 13 Shandong enterprises investing in Ethiopia and Nigeria such as Shandong Expressway and Shandong Heavy Industry through video link, and invited our embassies in Ethiopia and Nigeria, the Provincial Health Commission, the Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the relevant municipal foreign affairs offices and health and epidemic prevention experts to attend the event.

The relevant person in charge of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Provincial Party Committee said that since the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the provincial party committee and the provincial government have been concerned about the physical and mental health of Shandong's overseas citizens. Recently, the branches and project departments of Shandong enterprises in Ethiopia and Nigeria have generally faced multiple pressures such as epidemic prevention and control, safety risks, and difficulties in personnel rotation. Nevertheless, the majority of Employees of Luqi Enterprises carry forward the spirit of "giving up a small home for everyone", strictly implement epidemic prevention and control measures, overcome difficulties, and ensure the progress of project construction. Shandong enterprises have taken root in the local area, actively fulfilled their social responsibilities, improved the living conditions of the local people, won the respect and praise of the governments and people of the host countries with practical actions, and made important contributions to consolidating the friendship between China and Egypt and China and Nepal and building a community of common destiny between China and Africa.

Two experts from the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Shandong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine) and the Shandong Mental Health Center shared online knowledge on the prevention and control of new crown pneumonia, prevention and control of new crown pneumonia and health care in traditional Chinese medicine, psychological prevention of new coronavirus, etc., and answered the questions of overseas employees in detail.
