Instagram tests paid subscription features that bring revenue to creators

The feature was discovered as early as last November, but it's only now really getting into beta, and a small percentage of U.S. creators can already offer exclusive content to their subscribers through the service.

Subscribers will also have a badge that allows others to see the badge when commenting on a subscriber's entry or when sending a private message. The Instagram creators currently receiving this new feature cover actors, basketball players, astrologers, dancers, digital creators, Olympic winners and more.

With this new subscription service, creators can choose their own price point to offer exclusive content, ranging from $0.99 to $99.99 per month, and creators have the freedom to choose.
