Shen Haixiong, deputy director of the Central Propaganda Department, director and editor-in-chief of the Central Radio and Television Corporation, made a mobilization speech and presented flags to the news reporting team, the opening and closing ceremonies, the event broadcast reporting team, and the technical support team. Yan Xiaoming, deputy director of the General Taiwan Station, presided over the expedition ceremony, and Jiang Xiwei, deputy director of the Taiwan Station and vice chairman of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, attended the ceremony.
Shen Haixiong stressed that the preparation for the Beijing Winter Olympics and the Winter Paralympic Games is a historic event personally decided, personally deployed and personally promoted by General Secretary Xi Jinping, which has attracted global attention. The general station should firmly grasp the tone set by General Secretary Xi Jinping for the great significance of hosting the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, take the spirit of the congratulatory letter broadcast by the general secretary to the CCTV Olympic Channel as the driving force, do a solid job in all work with a high sense of political responsibility and mission, and comprehensively display a wonderful, extraordinary and outstanding olympic new chapter.
Shen Haixiong pointed out that the reporting team of the main station should have the courage to make breakthroughs, ensure the first launch, pay close attention to the exclusive, tell the story of the Winter Olympics with overall program innovation, and ensure excellence, meticulousness, and perfection. It is necessary to give full play to the unique advantages of "the main station on the spot" and the strategic guidance of "5G+4K/8K+AI", focus the lens on the Winter Olympic Stadium, fully demonstrate the moral trend of athletes' tenacious struggle and fair competition, comprehensively explain the concept of green, shared, open and clean Olympic games, tell the story of the passionate struggle of Olympic athletes from all over the world, and present the unique charm of Beijing's "City of Two Olympics".

The relevant responsible persons of the News Center, the Sports Youth Program Center, and the Technology Bureau respectively reported on the preparations for news reports, the production of the opening and closing ceremonies, and the broadcast reports of the event and the technical support.
At the Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympic Winter Games, more than 2,000 people were dispatched by the general station to carry out broadcast reports and public signal production, and more than 200 people participated in the choreography, directing, and broadcasting of literary and artistic activities such as the opening and closing ceremonies, with a total number of nearly 3,000 people. Among them, the 500-person rights broadcasting team and the 571-person 4K/8K international public signal production team entered the closed loop to carry out work. The main station will make overall arrangements for new media platforms such as CCTV, CCTV News, CCTV Sports, and radio frequencies such as CCTV1, CCTV2, CCTV4, CCTV5, CCTV5+, CCTV16, CCTV8K, CGTN, etc., and comprehensively carry out broadcast reports on the Winter Olympics.
The Beijing Winter Olympics will be held from February 4 to 20 and the Winter Paralympic Games from March 4 to 13. Entrusted by the Olympic Broadcasting Service Company, the main station will undertake the international public signal of six sub-events of curling, veneer U-shaped venue, freestyle U-shaped venue, freestyle aerial skills, freestyle snow skills and veneer parallel giant slalom of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, as well as the international public signal production tasks of all competition events of the Beijing Winter Paralympic Games, the opening and closing ceremonies, and the two award squares, which is the first time that mainland media institutions have participated in the production of public signals for Winter Olympic games. At the same time, the main station will also use the world's leading 8K technology to produce public signals for opening and closing ceremonies, freestyle skiing and snowboard jumping, speed skating and other projects, and will realize the first Olympic games in history to be broadcast in 4K.
A total of 150 responsible comrades of relevant departments of the general station and representatives of members of the forward reporting team attended the expedition ceremony.
