The Hotel "Marumofuku-lou", which is based on the original Nintendo headquarters of Nintendo in The Shimogyo Ward of Kyoto City, will officially open in April 2022 and will be accepted for bookings from today.
Designed and retouched by world-class architect Tadao Ando, the hotel was renovated without destroying the original building, retaining the appearance of the time (1930). In 1947, Nintendo's predecessor, Yamauchi Nintendo, established a company selling flower cards, dominoes, and playing cards, named "Maruko Corporation", and in order to commemorate this history, the hotel was named "Marunfuku Building".
