At about 21:00 on January 16, the Shabaozhou Water and Land Police Station of the Datong Lake Branch of the Yiyang Municipal Public Security Bureau received a report from the staff of Chase Lake Ecological Investment and Development Co., Ltd. that two men were driving an electric motor plastic fishing boat to cast a net in the Golden Triangle section of the Waters of Chase Lake to steal fish. After receiving the police, the police of the Shabaozhou Water and Land Police Station immediately drove a police speedboat to the water where the crime occurred, and seized more than 30 pairs of silk mesh, 1 plastic fishing boat and 2 batteries used in the crime. Subsequently, the police summoned Cai Mou and Xia Mouhua, who were suspected of theft, to the public security organs for investigation according to law.
After interrogation, Cai Mou and Xia Mouhua confessed to the crime of stealing fresh fish in the waters of the Great Lake for many times. From April 2021 to January 2022, the two drove fishing boats in the waters of Odori Lake four times to steal fresh fish from the lake by placing silk nets, and after the crime was successful, they gave some of the stolen fresh fish to relatives and friends, and enjoyed the rest for themselves.
At present, the criminal suspects Cai Mou and Xia Mouhua have been criminally detained by the public security organs according to law for suspected theft, and the case is being further investigated.
