Guangzhou, January 19 (Xinhua) -- A concert was played at the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall Station of the Guangzhou Metro on the 18th, kicking off the prelude to the Series of activities of the Guangzhou Metro's 2022 "Wonderful Journey of the Cultural Metro".

On the same day, the Guangdong music special band composed of five instruments, such as Gao Hu, Yangqin, Qinqin, Coconut Hu and Bamboo Flute, played the folk music familiar to the masses such as "Pinghu Autumn Moon", "Rain Playing Basho", and "Backgammon", which won the applause of the audience.

According to the relevant person in charge of Guangzhou Metro Group, it will continue to build an "underground cultural corridor", and this year will launch at least 6 cultural activities, 6 cultural exhibitions and a series of cultural products to present passengers with a cultural feast throughout the year.

Ding Jianlong, secretary of the Party Committee of Guangzhou Metro Group, said that in the new round of subway line construction, the company pays attention to integrating history and culture into the design of subway stations, and actively carries out the construction of new line special stations and theme stations, so that the subway can become a good carrier for showing local history and culture.
