According to the Municipal Greening and City Appearance Bureau, at the beginning of 2022, the construction of Baoshan Meilan Lake Central Park has begun. The first phase of Meilan Lake Central Park covers an area of 117,182.1 square meters, and the second phase covers an area of 78,562.1 square meters, and is expected to be completed in January 2024. Meilan Lake Central Park (tentatively named West Lake Park) is located in the large residential community of Luodian, of which the first phase of the park is east to Hutai Road, south to Qiangjiazhai Road, west to Luodian Road, north to Mei'ai Road, covering an area of 117,182.1 square meters; phase II is east to Hutai Road, south to Meilan Lake Road, west to Luxiang Road, north to Mei'ai Road, covering an area of 78,562.1 square meters, has begun construction in January 2022 and is expected to be completed in January 2024.
The overall design of the first and second phases of the park is guided by the water town street market of Luodian's most representative "three bays, nine lanes and eighteen lanes", using free curve transformation and alternating to form a flexible and changeable landscape streamline space, constructing a three-dimensional spatial level of "water, island, mountain and forest", integrating into the landscape and architectural design, and integrating cultural elements such as Luodian flower gods, dragon boats, and colored lanterns into the details of landscape sketch structures and node paving, showing the cultural characteristics of Luodian region.
After the completion of the park, it will be used as an aerobic community park with comprehensive functions in the north of Baoshan, which is of great significance in improving the regional ecological environment and improving the quality of the city.
