Appreciation of the works of Wang Jiaxiang, a master of contemporary calligraphy

Wang Jiaxiang: Born in 1967 in Tangyin, Henan, he now lives in Zhengzhou City, and is a Zen resident, the master of the Three Lotus Hall, and the master of the Listening Rain Book. Since childhood, he has studied under the famous calligraphers and painters Mr. Tang Yurun and Mr. Xie Bingyi. He is currently the vice president of Beijing Xiling Calligraphy and Painting Institute, the vice president of Henan Antiques Chamber of Commerce, the deputy secretary-general of Henan Provincial Chamber of Commerce of Folk Cultural Relics and Artworks, the executive president and secretary general of Sheng Tang Calligraphy and Painting Institute, and the vice chairman of Zhengzhou Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Association. Mr. JiaXiang has been learning calligraphy since childhood, and he has been persevering in 100 words every day. He also swore to be able to write without stopping, forty years as a day, constantly improving, initially introducing yan liukai, and then specializing in the essence of the erwang and mi fu, and also learning Tang Ouyang Qing, Chu Suiliang, Ming and Qing calligraphers Kaishu and Zhong Xuan, Huang Tingjian and other calligraphy. Spare time, tireless, non-stop in the pond, in order to seek the ancient strength and simplicity, and then attack the grass. While taking the brushwork of the ancients, carefully practicing the essence of the famous calligraphy of the past generations, paying more attention to the characteristic innovation, calligraphy works can reflect the harmonious beauty of chaos.

Many years ago, when I first saw Mr. Jiaxiang's works, the iron painting silver hook, the left plate and the right belt, and the flowing grass revealed a rigorous chapter, and a kind of elegant charm between the dot paintings jumped on the paper. It can be said that there are present and ancient, Han and Wei, which are intriguing to chew and intriguing. I was fascinated by it.

Mr. Jiaxiang studied with the famous calligraphers and painters Tang Yurun and Xie Bingyi since childhood, and then sailed in the vast sea of golden stone steles, roaming the famous mountains and rivers, so his eyes were wide open, his heart was magnificent, and a kind of magnificent spirit was in his chest, and his hair was poetry, and his form was a book, like the living water in the mountains. The reason why Jia Xiang's calligraphy works can distance themselves from some people who are "writing" nowadays is inextricably linked to his ability to take Fa Zhou, Qin, Han, and Wei upwards and integrate them into his own creative practice.

Cursive writing is his specialty, and it is also where he works the hardest. These works occupy a large part of Jiaxiang's collection, which is not unrelated to his usual massive postings and creations. In terms of Jiaxiang's artistic achievements, cursive writing should be Jiaxiang's housekeeping skill. Therefore, Jiaxiang's cursive writing is also the most remarkable.

Mr. Xiao Kai also wrote very skillfully. Although they take the Fa Bell and the King, they are not bound to their one move and one style. Instead, according to his own understanding, he melted the Han, Wei, Jin, and Tang families into one furnace, and interpreted the original well-behaved fly-headed Xiao Kai on the raw paper with such arbitrariness and agility, which made people see the feeling of "vain gods and gods, and they were completely sealed".
