Help the needy, selfless rescue, do not ask for returns, and write the ancient road of the new era with actions. Gathering is a fire, scattered is full of stars, thank you for lighting the light of life in times of crisis", this is the award speech of the Fujian Starlight Rescue Team, which touched the top ten figures in Fujian in 2020-2021.
They are a group of ordinary people, but they do the most extraordinary things. In times of crisis, they responded in a hundred responses, charged retrogradely, experienced the test of life and death, and saved lives from the hands of the god of death again and again.
They come from all walks of life in society, day or night, where there is a need, they can be seen; they have no bonuses, no awards, and even have to bear the cost of rescue and buy equipment, but they have no complaints.
They use the spark of stars to light up the light of life, and use selfless dedication to cast one search and rescue miracle after another. They are a civilian rescue team composed of veterans and caring people who love public welfare undertakings - Fujian Starlight Rescue Team.
Since its establishment in June 2015, the Starlight Rescue Team has traveled all over the province and abroad, carrying out more than 10 large-scale natural disaster rescues, more than 100 times of water, mountain, urban and other social welfare rescues, and helping tens of thousands of people trapped. At present, there are 86 professional rescue team members and 285 volunteers in the team.
As a non-governmental public welfare volunteer rescue organization, every time the Starlight Rescue Team goes out, it carries the selfless dedication and unremitting efforts of the team members, and condenses countless sweat and hardships. "We get together without complaint or regret because we want to do what we can for society. Next, we will continue to work hard and go all out on the road of public welfare rescue," said Zhang Yirong, captain of the Starlight Rescue Team.
