The troops of the US and Japanese armies are currently only 108 kilometers away from the closest point to Taiwan. With such an act, are they determined to interfere with China's reunification process?
Analysts believe that if this is the case, China is more at ease, because in the face of a definite target, with China's current military strength, once it is moved, it can be eliminated at the first time. However, although the United States and Japan have a bad stomach, they are not stupid. Japan, in particular, this cunning and clever adversary, would never so easily bring its already small military strength into the range of the Chinese army. Therefore, there must be a demon when things go wrong, and I am afraid that this matter will have to be looked at from another angle.
When the foreign ministers and defense ministers of the United States and Japan held 2+2 talks, the two sides were studying how to increase defense facilities and stockpile arms throughout Japan. This manifests itself in the joint use of runways from opposing bases to strengthen the Japanese Self-Defense Forces' military presence in the Southwest Islands region.
The outside world believes that this is a sign of the deep binding between the United States and Japan and the further strengthening of cooperation. It is also based on this commitment that the U.S. military has recently begun to enter the bases of the Japanese Self-Defense Forces. Analysts said that although it is said to be used jointly, it is actually Japan that has given up more runways and bases for the USE of the US military. The Japanese side wants to use this method to firmly tie the United States to itself in order to obtain more security guarantees.
Such a move by the United States and Japan is bound to increase the factors of regional instability, especially the increase in japan's troops in the so-called southwestern islands, and its westernmost "Yonaguni Island" is only 108 kilometers away from Taiwan Island. Does Japan really have the courage to directly intervene in the process of China's reunification? Not necessarily.
First of all, it is the conclusion made before. Although Japan is not very friendly to China on the Taiwan Strait issue, they are not stupid, and even if they have any intentions, they do not have to do so obviously. During World War II, in order to sneak attack the US army Pearl Harbor, Japan concealed the main force in advance and released various false news to confuse the opponent. At that time, Japan was still so cautious as a regional hegemon, and now it is even more impossible to be so brazen and stubborn.
Second, after many years of contacts, especially through the frequent testing of US reconnaissance planes in the past year, both the United States and Japan are very clear that the existing military forces deployed by the United States and Japan on the Japanese mainland within the first island chain may not last a week once a war starts, let alone that the island of Yonaguni is only 108 kilometers away from Taiwan, and it will certainly be the first to be eliminated at the first time.
Therefore, it was concluded that the real purpose of the Japanese side in mobilizing troops and equipment to the Kyushu region and the southwestern islands was not to intervene in the war in the Taiwan Strait, but to make strategic arrangements for the Sino-Japanese geopolitical pattern after the motherland's treasure island was Chinese mainland reunification.
The eastern waters of Taiwan are Japan's lifeline, and more than 90% of imported goods need to pass through here. Therefore, it is conceivable that once the treasure island is returned, the Chinese Navy will acquire the Naval Base in Eastern Taiwan, which will directly choke japan's lifeline. The Japanese side is deeply frightened by this, but there is no better way but to use the Taiwan Strait issue as an excuse to strengthen the southwestern islands.
Secondly, after the return, it means that the Chinese and Japanese armies will have direct contact and lose the buffer of the Taiwan Strait region, and Japan has sought deep integration with the US military because of fear, so it has even given up its own base. On the surface, they are a compromise with the United States, but in fact, why not let the American soldiers use themselves as meat shields?
Smiling and bowing on the surface, stabbing a knife in the back, Japan's opponent is actually far more sinister than the United States, which also deserves our vigilance.
