Recently, the 15th IDA International Design Awards (hereinafter referred to as IDA) announced the list of winners in 2021. Interior Design - Gold Award
Located on the central axis of the urban landscape in Sanshui District, Foshan City, the design team upholds the concept of boundary-breaking integration, combines design with nature, and creates a five-fold theme indoor tropical rainforest garden, allowing the vitality of natural landscapes to flow indoors. As the first signing experience center in China that integrates forest flower houses, leisure coffee and parent-child paradise, poly Yujiang South Indoor Tropical Garden allows people to get close to plants, feel nature, and harvest new and interesting Senju experiences around the clock.
The project is located on the urban landscaping central axis in Sanshui, Foshan. Interdisciplinary integration is well adopted to create a luxuriant interior tropical rainforest garden. Elements of design and nature are interacting in a friendly way. Five themed landscaping zones are built to arouse unlimited vitality in this limited indoor space. With a café and a parent-child paradise, it is the first multi-functional interior landscaping community experience center in China. Visitors here could enjoy fascinating all-day forest living experience, touching and kissing the vigor of nature.

Landscape Architecture - Honorable Mention
The project is located at the foot of Shunshan Mountain, where the mountains and rivers on the banks of the Shunshui River are interdependent, and the texture of sparse nature and profound cultural heritage jointly give here a different temperament. As a display center, the team hopes to use the design to maintain the original nature and the spirit of protecting the region, and use the scenes in the design to arouse people's desire to explore the local culture. The venue reveals the warmth of Jiangnan, with a lonely artistic beauty, vivid and distant and empty, as if telling an ancient story.
Located at the foot of Shunshan Mountain in Changzhou, the project site is embraced by rich natural water systems and beautiful pastoral scenery. Abundant natural, cultural and historical resources endows the site with unique native characteristics. Elements of many local naturalistic scenes and regional spirit are well integrated into the design, to arouse people's desire to explore the native history and culture. Charm of tranquil vitality permeates the cozy enchanting Jiangnan landscape in poetic aura. It seems to tell a vivid ancient story for visitors in a silent but profound way.

Sunshine City Beijing Xishan Yue
Based on the on-site exploration and design, the design team retained the original natural environment of the site as much as possible in a light intervention manner, integrated the new landscape into the existing site environment with a low-impact development method, and extended the boundaries of the space to the surrounding environment with various borrowing methods. Use nature to blur the boundaries of space, create an "immersive mountain residence" that returns to the landscape and is happy with nature, satisfies people's yearning for mountain life, and harvests inner peace between mountains and rivers and outside the hustle and bustle.
Based on a comprehensive site survey, the design team well integrates this landscaping residential area into its natural surroundings with little human intervention. Various ecological elements and borrowed scenery methods are well adopted to blur the boundary between the designed space and the nature. Dream Mount is built as a cozy idyllic mansion for city dwellers to return to nature. Embraced by charming landscapes within abundant native woods, residents here could escape from hustle and bustle in metropolis, to look for and enjoy their inner peace in such tranquil livable ambience.

Wuxi Greenland Hong Kong Anlan Noya
Inspired by the beautiful scenery of Taihu Lake, the design combines the yacht shape of the building to lead the waves into the city, and the oval Tingbu and Green Island are like the ripples of the water pool, continuing the wave element. The azure water surface, the white hard paving, and the green palm plants render the Southeast Asian style and bring a hint of coolness to the summer heat.
The design of this project is inspired by the natural scenery of Lake Tai. It creates a unique tropical resort for the Mansion’s demonstration area with a typical yacht-shaped building. Sea wave is well applied as the main design element, integrating with oval green islands, stepping stones and ripple-pattern paving at bottom of the pool, to create refreshing living ambience for urbanites. Cozy Southeast Asian aura is vividly made by blue water, white hard paving and green palm plants. Residents here could freely enjoy refreshingly cool air to escape the burning summer heat in the metropolis.

The project is located in Wanjiang District, Dongguan City, and is one of the core nodes of the waterfront line of the six banks of the three rivers in Dongguan. The design team adheres to the design concept of "natural person-oriented, local innovation, according to the shape of the situation, and expensive in moderation", fully respects local life and meets the needs of new functions, and forms a complete spatial sequence of river-island-shore-city through five different levels of space experience, creating a waterside life center where life and leisure, culture and innovation, ecology and nature are integrated.
The project site is a shoreline core node of local three rivers and six banks. The concept of building a natural and people-oriented waterfront park with locally suitable and appropriate innovations is well applied in the design to cater to local people's need of new functions for daily life. Five different-level spaces are constructed to form a complete spatial sequence of river-island-bank-city. Integrated with cultural and innovative elements, a functionally ecological waterfront public space is built, well stimulating friendly and intimate relation between city and river, people and bank.

Guangzhou Zhonghai GuanlanFu Haibao Park
Located on the banks of the Pearl River, the project is designed to be positioned as a full-age integrated life theater, using red bricks to create a landscape paradise with undulating terrain, preserving the memory of the site and inheriting the same vein as the Pearl River. The design advocates space as play, play as space, and stimulates exploratory and spontaneous play through the observable, playable and enjoyable terrain; it is not only a "children's paradise", but also a joyful and comfortable, fully open riverside greenway park, and also conveys the core intention and values of inclusiveness, all-age and durability in this case.
The project is located on the waterfront of Pearl River in Guangzhou. It is designed as an enjoyable riverside playground for people of all ages. Created by red bricks, the aesthetic undulating land art well preserves local industrial memory. This project follows the concept that space itself is the biggest motivation for people to enjoy leisure time there. Interesting up-and-down terrain stimulates visitors to approach it, to discover it, and to play with it spontaneously. It conveys the core design value of creating a pleasant, inclusive and durable urban public space for all the citizens.

With the aim of "creating an exclusive water playground for children", on the basis of retaining the original natural scenery of the venue, the project unlocks eight natural theme scenes, integrates the Mayan civilization into the new product module, and combines with the natural fir forest to form a new model of water play, exploration, interaction and rest, creating the first fantasy water theme secret created for children in China, and also the first shanlin water theme park in central China.
The project site is embraced by a cedar forest. It was planned to build the first multi-functional “fantasy water wonderland” in China specifically for kids. Eight nature-themed scenes are innovatively built, friendly nestled into the existing forest environment. Distinctive elements of Mayan civilization are applied in the eight scenes surrounded by cedars, creating various functional interaction spaces for kids to do water-playing games and to explore mysterious cedar forest with each other. In Central China, it is also the first water-themed children amusement park in cedar forest.
