Jimu News reporter learned from Hubei Three Gorges Tourism Group that on December 29, 2021, the construction of the world's largest pure electric cruise ship "Yangtze River Three Gorges 1" was completed, and it officially set sail from the Zhijiang Qixingtai Ship Industrial Park, successfully tested under the escort of 4 "two dams and one gorge" Yangtze River cruise ships, and returned to the home port of Yichang Cruise Ship with the highest courtesy and honor of the "Three Gorges Tourism" flagship ship.
The "Yangtze River Three Gorges 1" new energy pure electric cruise ship is jointly invested and developed by Hubei Three Gorges Tourism Group and China Yangtze River Electric Power Co., Ltd. The project will start construction on December 18, 2020, and after arriving at the home port of Yichang, it will complete the decoration of soft furnishings and the installation of hotel equipment, carry out high and low voltage charging equipment commissioning, ship tilt test, ship navigation test, etc., and plan commercial trial operation in April 2022.
"Three Gorges 1 of the Yangtze River" is 100 meters long, 16.3 meters wide, rated passenger capacity of 1300 people, carrying 7500 kWh of marine power batteries in the Ningde era, equivalent to the sum of the battery capacity of more than 100 pure electric vehicles, is a high-tech ship scientific research project of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and a pilot project of the Ministry of Transport transportation power, and is also the world's largest power battery capacity, intelligent and most advanced new energy pure electric ship. Cruise ships are a global leader in electric propulsion and intelligent control. It is the world's first electric ship to adopt high-voltage charging and low-voltage recharge scheme, which efficiently solves the charging problem of high-power ports. After the project is put into operation, it is driven by the Three Gorges clean hydropower and is a green ship that truly achieves "zero pollution and zero emission".
After the "Three Gorges 1" cruise ship of the Yangtze River was put into use, it mainly operated tourism routes such as two dams and one gorge, night tour of the Yangtze River, and three gorges ship lifts, providing leisure and entertainment and tourism services for passengers.
The "Three Gorges of the Yangtze River No. 1" cruise ship is an important measure for Hubei Three Gorges Tourism Group to upgrade the cruise ship construction, create a new territory of green development, and deeply implement the strategy of protecting the Yangtze River.
