On January 19, local time, the 2022 Qatar Football World Cup began the pre-sale of tickets for the first phase. The pre-sale window is from 1:00 p.m. Doha time on January 19, 2022 to 1:00 p.m. Doha time on February 8, 2022. Fans can submit their ticket purchase applications online, and applications submitted at any time will have the same ticket purchase opportunities. If the number of applications exceeds the total number of pre-sales, tickets will be allocated by random lottery. All requisitioners will be notified of the result of their ticket purchase request by 8 March 2022 and will be able to pay for their tickets online in accordance with the specified process.

During this pre-sale window, fans can apply for tickets for single matches (any match from the opener to the final), team packages (for three group matches for selected teams), stadium packages (tickets for four matches held at four different Qatar World Cup stadiums) and accessible tickets (for people with disabilities and mobility). The minimum ticket price is QAR 40 (about 70 RMB). Each fan can purchase up to 60 tickets throughout the World Cup.

Ticket sales for the second phase of the Qatar World Cup are expected to begin before April 1 this year, when tickets will be sold on a "first-come, first-served" basis for fans.

The Qatar World Cup will kick off on 21 November 2022 and the final will be held on 18 December, the first time in history that a World Cup soccer match will be held in a Middle Eastern country.
