Wei Bo Jiedushi, also known as Tianxiong Jiedushi, is a Festival Envoy set up by the Tang Dynasty, which governs the six prefectures of Weizhou, Bozhou, Xiangzhou, Beizhou, Weizhou, and Liaozhou, and belongs to the Tanghe River. From the end of the Tang Dynasty to the Five Dynasties, Hebei was divided and one of the three towns in Hebei. At the end of the 8th century, he was the head of the three towns in Hebei and declined in the 9th century.

Rise of the Tian clan

Tian Chengsi (705-779) was a native of Lulong, Pingzhou (present-day Hebei), born into a Family of Xingwu. The Tian family came from Lulong, Pingzhou, on the northeastern border, and had served as an officer in the Lulong Army for generations, defending the northeast defensive line for The Tianzi of Chang'an. Tian Chengsi's grandfather Tian Jing and father Tian Shouyi were both famous local heroes.

Tian Chengsi's family had been an officer for generations, and the Tian clan itself had a certain social influence. Tian Chengsi himself also inherited the family genes and was also known as a hero. Because Tian Chengsi not only has courage, but also has no lack of wisdom. Therefore, he became a forward soldier and horse messenger from a small colonel in the middle of the line and became an important general in Lu Long's army. He also made many military achievements on the border with the Khitan and Xi tribes, and was promoted to the rank of general of Zuo Wuwei. Therefore, An Lushan attached great importance to Tian Chengsi.

In November of the fourteenth year of Tianbao (755), An Lushan rebelled against Fanyang and led an army of 150,000 to the south, with Tian Chengsi as one of his main generals. At that time, the internal defense of the Tang Dynasty was empty, so the prefectures and counties where the rebels passed were more than expected to disintegrate. The rebels broke through the city of Artemisia, trapped Lingchang, and descended Xingyang, which was like a broken bamboo.

After capturing Xingyang Commandery, An Lushan ordered Tian Chengsi, along with An Zhongzhi and Zhang Xiaozhong, to be the forwards and advance towards Luoyang, the capital of eastern Tang. Tian Chengsi was brave and good at war, and in a battle in the eastern suburbs of Luoyang, he beat the tens of thousands of officers and soldiers recruited by the Tang general Feng Changqing to lose their armor and fall into the water. So the rebels captured Luoyang. In the first month of Deyuan Zai (756), An Lushan was proclaimed Emperor of Great Yan in Luoyang.

The An Lushan rebels used Luoyang as a base and divided their troops to attack Tang County. The Tang general Lu Jiong held Nanyang, and the rebel general Wu Lingxun could not attack for a long time. In May of the second year of The German Dynasty, Tian Chengsi was ordered to lead an army to attack Nanyang. Nanyang City has been besieged by rebels for several months, the city is seriously short of food, a rat can sell for four hundred dollars, and the dead are sleeping.

Tian Chengsi took advantage of his crisis to attack Nanyang in one fell swoop. Lu Jiong broke out and retreated to Xiangyang, Tian Chengsi pursued him in exhaustion, and then fought for two days, seeing that Xiangyang was difficult to capture for a while, he returned with his squad. Subsequently, Tian Chengsi led an army to the east and besieged Tang Laiyao at Yingchuan. Lai Yao was good at soothing the soldiers, and Tian Chengsi could not attack for a long time.

In October, the official army vigorously counterattacked, successively recapturing Chang'an and Luoyang, Chen Liuren killed the rebel general Yin Ziqi, the rebel mastermind Yan Zhuang also surrendered to the Tang Dynasty, An Qingxu only led three hundred congriers to ride, and retreated to Xiangzhou, and the situation took a sharp turn for the worse.

At this time, Tian Chengsi sent emissaries from Yingchuan to ask Guo Ziyi to surrender, and before he could get a reply, he changed his mind and withdrew from Yingchuan, joining forces with Wu Lingxun, who was guarding Nanyang, with tens of thousands of people, that is, going north to aid Xiangzhou.

In October of the first year of the Qianyuan Dynasty (758), the Tang general Guo Ziyi led an army to surround Weizhou, An Qingxu sent troops to the rescue, divided into three armies, Cui Qianyou led the army, Tian Chengsi led the army, An Qingxu led the Chinese army, straight to Weizhou, guo Ziyi was confronted, and the rebels were forced to retreat to Xiangzhou. Guo Ziyi and the other nine knots led more than 600,000 troops to ride, and surrounded xiangzhou city with water.

In February of the second year of the Qianyuan Dynasty, Shi Siming led an army of 130,000 men from Fan Yang to the south and attacked Wei Prefecture to save An Qingxu. In March, there was a battle at the north of anyang River. Although the officers and men were numerous and powerful, they did not have a unified command of the commander-in-chief, and it was difficult to coordinate the operations, and as a result, the officers and troops collapsed uncontrollably, and the various sections fled back to the town. The rebels turned the tide and regained momentum. Shi Siming killed An Qingxu and led his troops back to Fanyang.

In September, Shi Siming once again led his army south from Fan Yang, divided his troops into four routes, and launched an attack on the Tang army, and Tian Chengsi, as the vanguard of the Shi Dynasty rebel army, once again attacked Luoyang and gave the false Wei Prefecture assassin History.

In November of the second year of the First Yuan Dynasty (760), Shi Siming sent Tian Chengsi to attack Huaixi, captured Suiyang, and was appointed as the emissary of Suiyang Jiedushi.

In October of the first year of Baoying (762), Hui Hui again sent troops and, together with the officers, launched a powerful offensive against the rebels, and soon recaptured Luoyang, and Shi Chaoyi was defeated and retreated, fleeing to Weizhou.

In November, Tian Chengsi led an army of 40,000 from Suiyang to the rescue. Tang defeated Shi Chaoyi, and the rebels retreated to Zhangshui. Tian Chengsi saw that there was no boat to cross the river, so he asked the ring car to be a battalion, let the women sit in the car, displayed them next to the car, and ambushed the soldiers to wait for the officers and men.

The officers and soldiers chased to Zhangshui and engaged the rebels, Tian Chengsi was defeated and retreated, the officers and soldiers competed for treasure, the team was in chaos, the rebels turned back and rushed to kill, and the ambush soldiers also took the opportunity to kill, the officers and soldiers were caught off guard, and they retreated for tens of miles before stabilizing their positions. Shi Chaoyi retreated to Mozhou, and the officers and soldiers quickly pursued the city, fighting many battles, all of which were defeated by the officers and soldiers.

Annexed to the Tang court

In the first month of the first year of Guangde (763), Tian Chengsi, seeing that the official army had recaptured most of the prefectures and counties, that the puppet Great Yan regime had fallen apart and that morale was low, and knowing that Shi Chaoyi would not surrender, he deceived him and said:

"It is better to return Xiao Rui to Youzhou, because (Li) Huaixian returned the battle with 50,000 soldiers, and the momentum was outspoken, and the victory could be complete." Please hold fast, though you are strong, do not hesitate. ”

Shi Chaoyi believed it to be true, followed Tian Chengsi's advice, shook his hand, and took "survival as a trust", and he also "drooled" and expressed obedience.

However, when Shi Chaoyi had just broken out of the city at night, he immediately summoned his generals and declared that in the past he had "sent people to tombs, burned people's rooms, plundered people's jade veils, the strong died with blades, and the weak filled in the ravines", expressing remorse, and now descending to Tang, "being able to change to the present, is to turn the crisis around and be safe." The generals unanimously agreed, so they sent Shi Chaoyi's old mother and his wife to the camp of the servants and surrendered to the officers and soldiers. And more use of gold to alienate the generals.

The servant Gu Jiu was reluctant to accept his surrender, and fearing that something unforeseen would occur among his subordinates, he agreed to be surrendered on a date. Tian Chengsi was afraid that he would not be able to save himself, so he falsely claimed that he could not get sick. The servant Gu Jiu wanted to rush into the city to capture him, and he was lined up with many swords and axes next to him, unable to start. In the end, Tian Chengsi paid bribes with heavy money, and the servant Gu Jiu was able to give up.

Later, Tian Chengsi and the old generals Zhang Zhongzhi, Li Huaixian, xue song, and others went to the Tang lord's camp to apologize for their sins, expressing their willingness to carry the whip and follow the pedals to serve the dogs and horses.

After the chaos, the city was in ruins and the population was in exile. Emperor Suzong of Tang repeatedly pardoned you in "prohibiting violence and suppressing soldiers", and An and Shi Shi would not be blamed for the past. The servant Gu Huai'en also boasted of his high merits, "worried about the decline of thieves, if you want to keep the thieves will be helped", so he asked Tian Chengsi and Li Huaixian, Zhang Zhongzhi, Xue Song and other four people to command the counties of Hebei. Therefore, Yuan An and Shi Hui will be reused again, and they will be assigned special duties.

Heshuo is an important town

In order to prevent Tian Chengsi and other generals from regenerating incidents, the Tang court implemented a policy of enveloping them, and repeatedly promoted officials to the throne, from the first year of Guangde (763) to the appointment of Tian Chengsi as the assassin of Mozhou, until September of the eighth year of the Great Calendar (773), during which time Tian Chengsi successively moved to wei, Bo, De, Cang, and Yingzhou defense envoys, Wei Bo jiedushi envoys, inspection lieutenants, and Yanmen County.

The first strong town in Hebei, Wei Bojiedushi, who forged a big mistake for the tooth destroyers

Emperor Tang also married his daughter Princess Yongle to Tian Hua, the son of Tian Chengsi, as a sign of grace and to tie his heart.

Tian Chengsi was "born in Shuoye, with a fierce spirit", and for many years he followed An Lushan, always doing things with horses, and "did not learn the teachings". The emperor's frequent graces could only make him proud. And once he got it, he wantonly did what he wanted. He "plotted to consolidate himself, increased tax rates, repaired the armor of the army, counted the widows of the hukou, while the old and the weak cultivated crops, and Ding Zhuang was conscripted, so in a few years, his people were 100,000."

He was also good at managing internal politics, economy, and financial resources, "the county officials are all self-signed, the household version is not registered in the Tianfu, the tax is not included in the imperial court, although it is known as a vassal, there is no courtier.". As a result, the town of Weibo soon became an independent kingdom.

Tian Chengsi also recruited the sons of the army to be placed under his subordinates as his bodyguards, known as the Tooth Army. On weekdays, they are "rich and generous, and they are not proud of it". Tooth soldiers "father and son hereditary, marriage party and mutual conflict, arrogant disregard for the law." At that time, there was a proverb that said: "Chang'an Tianzi, Wei Fu Yajun." "This strong tooth army became Tian Chengsi's pawn in the horse.

Tian Chengsi also "married lied to each other and made themselves cousins" with the an and shigu generals Jiaogu Pengbi, who served as envoys to the various feudal towns in Hebei, and with Li Baochen ( Li Baochen ) , Xue Song ( Xue Song ) , and Lu Longjiedu ( Lu Longjiedu ) , who were envoys to each other' edicts; at the same time, they also recruited rebels and recruited An and Shi Yu dang, "each with tens of thousands of strong pawns, the completion of the city, the self-signed civil and military generals, and no tribute."

The first strong town in Hebei, Wei Bojiedushi, who forged a big mistake for the tooth destroyers

In September of the eighth year of the Gregorian calendar (773), Tian Chengsi went so far as to risk the world's great disobedience and openly set up ancestral halls for An Lushan and Shi Siming's father and son in his own management, and honored them as the "Four Saints". The chaos of Anshi and the calamity of the country and the people have long been spurned and cut by the people, but Tian Chengsi blatantly summoned the soul of his master and revered him as a "saint", which shows that his wolf ambitions do not die.

For this serious incident, Emperor Tang did not make a big deal of it, but only asked his internal servant Sun Zhiguyin to persuade him to destroy it when he sent an envoy to Wei Bo. Later, at his request, in October Kada Seiko and Hiraru Shōshi were invited to show their praise.

Tian Chengsi was indifferent to the emperor's favor, and the appeasement of the imperial court could only be a relic of raising tigers. When he put on the laurel of the Tang Dynasty Auxiliary Minister, his separatist activities also quietly began.

Xiang Wei Jiedu caused Xue Song to die, and the imperial court retained it with his brother Xue Wei. Tian Chengsi lured zhaoyi town to rebel. In the first month of the tenth year of the Gregorian calendar (775), the Zhaoyi soldiers and horses sent Pei Zhiqing to send troops to expel Xue Wei and attach him to Wei Bo. Tian Chengsi took the opportunity to send troops and claimed to rescue, but in fact he wanted to attack Xiangzhou and quickly captured Xiangzhou.

After the war broke out, the imperial court immediately selected Xue Xuan, who was of the same ethnic group as the Xiangzhou Assassin History, Xue Xiong as the Weizhou Thorn History, and Xue Jian as the HuanZhou Thorn History, and at the same time sent Wei Zhigu to Wei Prefecture to warn Tian Chengsi and so on, "so that each guarded the territory" and did not cross the Thunder Pond. However, Tian Chengsi refused to obey the edict and still sent the general Lu Ziqi to attack Puzhou and Yang Guangchao to attack Weizhou.

While flaunting his might, he also induced Xue Xiong, the assassin of Weizhou, to submit to himself, but Xue Xiong did not comply, that is, secretly sent people to slaughter his wife Lao Xiao to the end. Therefore, Tian Chengsi "did his best to take advantage of the land of Xiang and Wei Sizhou, set himself up as a chief official, plundered his elite soldiers and horses, and returned them to Wei Prefecture." Thus expanding his territory and strengthening his strength.

In order to be justified, he also coerced Wei Zhigu to tour Ci and Xiang'er Prefectures with him, but secretly made his nephew Tian Yue persuade the generals to cut off their ears and face, and under the banner of asking for the people's life, he went to the envoy to ask for Tian Chengsi as his commander, and the emissary was afraid and did not dare to pursue it.

The Tang Dynasty Crusade

Tian Chengsi finally seized the lands of Xiang and Wei by force, indicating the complete bankruptcy of the Tang court's policy of enveloping and appeasing the feudal commanders. In this case, Tang Tingcai had to use force to requisition. In April of that year, Emperor Tang dynasty issued an edict exposing Tian Chengsi's crime of robbing prefectures and counties and opposing the imperial court, and he was "degraded the history of Yongzhou and still allowed a young man and woman to follow him", and at the same time ordered Chengde Jiedu to make Li Baochen, Youzhou Jiedu stay behind Zhu Tao, Zhaoyi Jiedu Li Chengzhao, Ziqing Jiedu Li Zhengji and other eight envoys to join forces to attack Tian Chengsi.

The first strong town in Hebei, Wei Bojiedushi, who forged a big mistake for the tooth destroyers

Originally, Tian Chengsi and Hebei Clan Shuai were both An and Shi veterans, smelling the same, and they were also married, and Pengbi was adulterous. However, due to the fact that he had always despised Li Baochen and Li Zhengji, and when Li Baochen's brother Li Bao was playing polo in Weizhou, he was killed by Tian Chengsi, tian wei, the son of Tian Chengsi, because the horse was frightened and killed by Tian Chengsi, the relationship between the two towns deteriorated. At this time, Erli took the initiative to request a crusade against Tian Chengsi. Coupled with Zhu Taofang's obedience to the imperial family, the commanders of the Hebei provinces also served the imperial court for a while. Ten years.

After the imperial court issued an edict against Tian Chengsi, the various clan commanders quickly took action. Zhu Tao, Li Baochen, and Hedong Jiedu had Xue Jianxun lead an army to attack from the north, and Li Zhengji and Huaixi Jiedu had Li Zhongchen attack from the south, and for a time a large army pressed the border. The crusade progressed rapidly, and Wei Bo's army lost the battle.

In May, Tian Chengsi's general Huo Rongguo surrendered the land of Cizhou, and then Li Zhengji also attacked Dezhou, and Li Zhongchen surrounded Weizhou with 40,000 horsemen. However, Tian Chengsi was not willing to sit still, and he adopted a strategy of attacking and defending. In June, he sent Pei Zhiqing to attack Jizhou, but Pei Zhiqing surrendered to Li Baochen.

Tian Chengsi personally led an army into The Siege of Jizhou, but was also defeated by Li Baochen, burned down the weight, and had to flee back. The situation is getting worse day by day. Tian Chengsi saw that the soldiers and horses of various provinces were gradually surrounding, the generals also defected, and the rest were also afraid and uneasy, and it was difficult to hold each other any longer, so he went to the table in August, "Please bundle yourself and return to the dynasty." However, his "please tie yourself up to the DPRK" is not a sincere surrender and confession, but a strategy to delay the army. Within a few days, he sent Lu Ziqi to invade Cizhou.

In September, Li Baochen and Li Zhengji joined forces to besiege Bei Prefecture, and Tian Chengsi led troops to rescue them. Because the imperial court rewarded the two armies of Erli and Li with different thicknesses, and the soldiers complained, they were afraid that something would happen, so Erli withdrew his troops on his own. Subsequently, Li Baochen and Zhu Tao attacked Cangzhou, but Tian Chengsi's cousin Tian Tingyue (田庭玠) was stubborn and could not conquer it for a while.

Although the northern front has temporarily stabilized its position, the situation on the southern front is very tense. Lu Ziqi attacked Cizhou, seeing that the city of Zhou was about to be destroyed, and the great achievements were accomplished, but li Baochen and Zhaoyi stayed behind and Li Chengzhao led reinforcements to arrive, attacking inside and outside, Lu Ziqi's troops were defeated and captured, and they were beheaded in Chang'an. At the same time, under the attack of the Henan generals, Tian Yue's army also suffered a major defeat at Chen Liu. This made Tian Chengsi feel really afraid and uneasy in his heart.

The first strong town in Hebei, Wei Bojiedushi, who forged a big mistake for the tooth destroyers

In order to get rid of the current predicament, Tian Chengsi used treacherous tricks, first of all, to try his best to restore friendly relations with Li Zhengji. Originally, the emissaries sent by Li Zhengji to Wei Prefecture were imprisoned by him, and at this point, Tian Chengsi, unusually, treated the emissaries with courtesy and chonglong, and he sent Li Zhengji the books of the Guannei Hukou, Jia Bing, and Gu Shu, and said to him:

"There are six of the eighty heirs this year, there is no day of death, the sons are not shawn, and the joy is weak, and all today, for the public to guard the ears, is it enough to insult the public's master!"

He knelt before the Messenger and personally offered the book. At the same time, a portrait of Li Zhengji was hung in the hall, like a god, "burning incense". Tian Chengsi's sweet words and false feelings made Li Zheng himself intoxicated, so he did not move.

After pleasing Li Zhengji and stabilizing the position of the southern front, Tian Chengsi also provoked a relationship between the northern commanders. When he learned that Chengde Jiedu had made Li Baochen grow up in Fanyang township and grow up in the township when he was young, and often wanted to get the land of his hometown, he carved a stone and wrote two proverbs: "The Second Emperor is full of merit and strength, and tian wei is a companion into Youyan." "Secretly causing people to bury it in Li Baochen's hometown, and then making the qi seekers claim that there is wang qi there, Li Baochen sent people to dig it, and sure enough, he got a stone."

Later, Tian Chengsi ordered the lobbyists to persuade him: "The Gong and Zhu Tao jointly take Cangzhou, and if they get it, the land will be returned to the country, not owned by the public." If the public can give up the sin of inheriting the heir, please return to the public with Cangzhou, and still be willing to take Fan Yang from the public to serve himself. The Duke rode forward with fine horses, and the heirs followed him with infantry, and they were contemptuous. Li Baochen was overwhelmed by what he said, and was overjoyed, and he used this matter to be consistent with the "proverb", "So he conspired with Chengsi and plotted against Fan Yang." Chengsi is also chen bing on the realm. ”

At that time, Fan Yang jiedu left Zhu Tao's garrison at Waqiao, and Li Muchen selected two thousand elite cavalry, and rushed for more than three hundred miles at night, straight to Waqiao. Because the two armies had always been friendly and friendly, when Zhu Tao's army was suddenly attacked by Li Baochen's cavalry, it was completely unexpected, unprepared, and rushed into battle, resulting in a big defeat.

Li Baochen wanted to take advantage of the victory to capture Fanyang, but Zhu Tao had already made the Xiongwu army make Liu Xun strictly guarded, and Li Baochen knew that he was on guard and did not dare to rush to march. Tian Chengsi learned that Li Baochen had been caught in a trap, that the two armies had already fought, and that there was no time for him to take care of him, so he led his troops south and sent emissaries to tell Li Baochen: "There are police officers in Hanoi, and there is no time to obey the public. Li Baochen woke up like a dream, both angry and ashamed, but it was too late to regret it, so he had to retreat. The Northern Front is also at peace.

The same trick repeats

The Tang dynasty mobilized the troops of eight feudal towns to attack the town of Weibo, and the war was fought for nearly a year, but it never made much progress, and the two sides could not hold each other. At this time, Tian Chengsi twice went to the table and asked to join the court to apologize for his sins; Li Zhengji also repeatedly interceded for him, asking the imperial court to allow him to reform himself. In February of the eleventh year of the Gregorian calendar (776), emperor of the Tang Dynasty issued an edict pardoning him for his sins, restoring his official titles, and allowing him to enter the dynasty with his family.

Tian Chengsi's request to join the DYNASTY again was a repeat of the old trick. Although he was pardoned again by the imperial court, restored to his official title, and allowed to enter the dynasty, he did not sincerely submit to the imperial court, so he stayed in the court. After only three months, the war was provoked again.

In May of the same year, Li Lingyao killed the soldiers and horses, puzhou assassin Shi Mengjian, and colluded with Tian Chengsi as a foreign aid, in order to specialize in Bi and Song. However, the imperial court appointed Yongping Jiedu to make Li Mian and Eight Prefectures of Song stay behind, with Li Lingyao as the assassin of Puzhou. Li Lingyao, with Arita Seong-hee behind his back, refused to follow the edict.

The imperial court was helpless, and instead ordered Li Lingyao to stay for The Song Dynasty, and sent emissaries to the Song Dynasty to announce the consolation. In order to show his support for Li Lingyao, Tian Chengsi soon sent an army to attack Huazhou and defeated Li Mian, the envoy of Yongping Jiedu.

Arita Chengsi was the patron, and although Li Lingyao was appointed as the queen of the Song Dynasty, he had to look forward to Shu and had greater desires.

The first strong town in Hebei, Wei Bojiedushi, who forged a big mistake for the tooth destroyers

He imitated the towns in Hebei and appointed his henchmen as the Eight Prefectures Assassin and the County Commandery respectively. For Li Lingyao's arrogance and lawlessness, the imperial court had to mobilize the masses. In September, he ordered the five towns of Huaixi, Yongping, Heyang, Huainan, and Ziqing to send troops to attack Li Lingyao. The five towns marched rapidly, and their momentum was difficult, and Li Lingyao lost consecutive battles. In October, it was besieged by Zhuzhen soldiers in the city of Bianzhou.

Tian Chengsi saw that Li Lingyao was in danger, so he sent Tian Yue to lead troops to rescue him quickly. Tian Yue led his troops south, defeated the yongping and Ziqing soldiers at Kuangcheng, and took advantage of the victory to advance towards Bian Prefecture. Unexpectedly, after setting up camp in the north of the city of Bizhou, at night, he was attacked by the Huaixi general Li Chongqian on a light horse with hundreds of horses, "running through the longitudinal and horizontal", killing a large number of people, and the camp was panicked and uneasy, and the Huaixi Festival made Li Zhongchen and Heyang three cities make Ma Fu take the opportunity to "clamor in", Tian Yue's army collapsed without a fight, and "the number of soldiers and dead was innumerable." Desperate and helpless, Li Lingyao fled overnight, was captured during the escape, and was sent to the Beijing Division to be beheaded.

Tian Chengsi never entered the dynasty, and coupled with the assistance of Li Lingyao in rebellion, it angered the imperial court, so Emperor Tang of Tang again issued a crusade in March of the twelfth year of the Gregorian calendar (777). The edict of the crusade issued this time was nothing more than a bluff, Tian Chengsi once again apologized for his sins, the matter was not resolved, and the imperial court quickly "restored the official title of Chengsi, but still ordered that there was no need to enter the dynasty."

At this time, Tian Chengsi already had the land of Wei, Bo, Xiang, Wei, Huan, Bei, and Lan, with an army of more than 100,000 people, becoming the strongest of the three towns in Hebei. He and other vassals "corresponded to each other and were bound according to the knot, although they served the imperial court without their decrees", specialized in the rights of officials, soldiers, rents, and torture, and built fortifications and soldiers in the territory, so that "although he was called a vassal in China, he was like a barbarian foreigner".

The town of Domain was divided

In February of the fourteenth year of the Gregorian calendar (779), Tian Chengsi died. When Tian Chengsi was dying, he saw that his son was weak, so he asked his nephew Tian Yue to take over as the envoy of Jiedushi. Soon, the imperial court appointed Tian Yue as Wei Bo Jiedushi, and was immediately promoted to Shangshu of the Inspection and School Work Department and Wei BoJiedushi. A hereditary precedent was set for the town.

The first strong town in Hebei, Wei Bojiedushi, who forged a big mistake for the tooth destroyers

During the middle years of Emperor Dezong's reign, Tian Yue first rebelled with Chengde Li Weiyue, Ziqing Li Na, and Liang Chongyi of Shannan's Eastern Province, and then with Chengde Wang Wujun, Ziqing Li Na, Youzhou Zhu Tao, and Huaixi Jiedu, Li Xilie rebelled, Zhu Tao called Ji Wang, Tian Yue called Wei Wang, Wang Wujun called Zhao Wang, Li Na called Qi Wang, Li Xilie called Chu Emperor, and Zhu Zhu called Qin Emperor. History is known as the Rebellion of the Two Emperors and Four Kings.

In the first year of zhenyuan (784), Tian Chengsi's son Tian Xu killed Tian Yue and submitted him to the imperial court, where he was awarded the title of Envoy of Wei Bojiedu. Emperor Dezong married Tian Xu under Princess Jiacheng (the tenth daughter of Emperor Daizong), and Wei Bo still enjoyed real power to divide the territory. Zhenyuan died of a violent illness in the twelfth year, at the age of thirty-three. The young son Tian Ji'an took the throne.

In the seventh year of Yuan He (812), Tian Ji'an died violently, and his wife, summoning the generals to appoint his youngest son Tian Huaizhi, tian Huaizhi was only eleven years old, and the power fell into the hands of the family servant Jiang Shize, who was unfair, and often changed the position of general at will, causing the anger of the three armies, and Tian Hongzheng, the nephew of Tian Chengsi, who supported Tian Chengsi, stayed behind.

Tian Hongzheng returned to the imperial court, gave up the division of territory, and made great contributions to Tang Xianzong's pacification of Ziqing, Chengde, and Huaixi, and was a key figure in Yuan and Zhongxing. In the fifteenth year of Yuan He (820), Tian Hongzheng was transferred to the position of Envoy of the Chengde Army, and Li Yu was made the Envoy of Wei Bo.

In July of the first year of Changqing (821), Tian Hongzheng was killed by Wang Tingzhuo, the commander of the Chengde army. Wei Bojie made Li Yu prepare to send troops, but when he encountered an attack of illness, he could not handle military affairs.

Emperor Muzong, with Tian Bu, the son of Tian Hongzheng, as Wei Bo's envoy, and the entire army of 30,000 people begged Wang Tingzhuo, and at the same time ordered the Heng Navy, the Zhaoyi Army, the Hedong Army, and the Yiwu Army to fight together. The Wei army was arrogant and cowardly in battle, coupled with the heavy snow, insufficient supply of grain and grass, and even less fighting spirit, the army was not allowed to enter, Tian Bu was forced to die by the tooth general Shi Xiancheng, and Wei Bo re-divided.

Shi Xiancheng instigated the sergeant commotion to force Tian Bu to die, and claimed to be the queen. The imperial court was helpless and granted the envoy of moderation. In the third year of Yamato (829), Shi Xiancheng was transferred to the position of emissary of the River Festival, and Shi Xiancheng was anxious to leave office and prepared to take away all the money and grain in the government treasury. The army was furious, and on the night of June 26, Wei Bo's army was in turmoil, and the soldiers broke into the military palace at night to behead Shi Xiancheng, and after the soldiers and horses knew that he Jintao was left behind, the imperial court could not, so it had to use He Jintao as Wei Bo's emissary.

The first strong town in Hebei, Wei Bojiedushi, who forged a big mistake for the tooth destroyers

In the third year of Emperor Wenzong of Tang (829), He Jintao killed Shi Xiancheng and began the division of the He clan. During his term of office, the people's hearts and minds were stable and won the hearts and minds of the people. In the fifth year of Kaicheng (840), he died in office. He Jintao died, and his son He Hong honored his father as Wei Bojiedushi.com. In 866, He Hongjing died, and soldiers elected his son He Quanhao to succeed him. Emperor Yizong of Tang approved of this, and after appointing him as a retainer, he was appointed as an envoy to Jiedu in 867.

He Quanhao was young and severely punished, especially liked to be sentenced to death, and often flogged his subordinates for small mistakes, so that soldiers feared him. In 870, rumors were he about to cut the soldiers' allowances for food and clothing, and the soldiers mutinied. He Quanhao tried to escape on horseback, but was chased and killed by soldiers. The soldiers elected the general Han Junxiong to succeed him, and the imperial court agreed. The He clan, which ruled Wei for 42 years, was replaced by Han Junxiong.

After Han Junxiong's death in 874, the soldiers elected his son Han Jian to succeed him, and Emperor Tang agreed, and Han Jian was appointed as a plenipotentiary envoy in 875. In 883, Han Jian attacked Heyang Jiedu and defeated Zhuge Shuang. Replaced by the general Le Yanzhen.

Taking advantage of Han Jian's defeat, the general Le Yanzhen preemptively occupied Wei Prefecture. Dr. Wei supported him in replacing Han Jian, who was also killed by his subordinates. Emperor Tang appointed Le Yanzhen as his retainer, and later in the same year he was appointed as an envoy to Jiedushi. In 884, the former chancellor Wang Duo (王铎) was appointed as an envoy to Yichang Jiedushi, passing through Wei Bo, and Le Congxun,000 sons of Le Yanzhen ambushed and killed Wang Duo and three hundred aides, seizing his concubines and belongings. Le Yanzhen reported to the imperial court that Wang Duo had been killed by bandits. The people of Wei Bo knew wang Duo's fame and reputation, so they hated Le Congxun.

In 885, the Zhaoyi general Ma Shuang rebelled against Meng Fangli, trying to force the latter to kill another general who was at odds with him, Xi Zhongxin, and fled to Wei Bo in defeat, where Xi Zhongxin bribed Le Yanzhen to kill Ma Shuang.

Le Congxun gathered five hundred soldiers as his confidants and called them "zi generals", causing resentment among Wei Boya's army. In 888, after Le Congxun realized this, he felt uneasy and fled Wei Prefecture. Le Yanzhen then made him the Assassin of Xiangzhou. Le Congxun often wrote letters asking for weapons and money, which angered Wei Boya's army more and more. Le Yanzhen became a monk because he was afraid of the mutiny of the Tooth Army.

Wei Boya supported Zhao Wenben as his retainer. Le Congxun learned that his father was forced to retire and led an army of 30,000 to Wei Prefecture. Zhao Wenben refused to engage Le Congxun. Dr. Wei killed Zhao Wenben because he did not know what he intended, and put the general Luo Hongxin as the emissary of Jiedushi.

In September of the first year of Gwanghwa (898), Luo Hongxin died at the age of sixty-three. After Wei Bojun pushed his son Luo Shaowei, the deputy envoy of Jiedu, to stay, he was recognized by Emperor Zhaozong of Tang and appointed as the envoy of Jiedushi.

In the second year of Tianyou (905), Li Gongjun rebelled. In the third year of Tianyou (906), Luo Shaowei sent his confidant Yang Liyan to ask Xuanwu Jiedushi for help from Zhu Wen. Luo Shaowei, with the assistance of Zhu Wen, killed Wei Boya's soldiers. Eradicated the plague of tooth soldiers that had lasted for two hundred years. This terrified the entire Weibo army, and all six states rebelled. It took half a year for the rebellion to be quelled.

Although Luo Shaowei used Zhu Wen to get rid of his own confidants, Wei Bo was seriously injured and gradually weakened, so he had to rely on Zhu Wen. Gradually reduced to a small domain town.
