On the afternoon of January 18th, the awarding ceremony of the "Pearl River Literary Creation Base" of the Guangzhou Literary and Artistic Creation Base and the Pearl River Literature Forum activity were successfully held in Guangzhou Literature and Art Newspapers and Periodicals.
Leaders and guests from Guangdong Writers Association, Publicity Department of Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee, Guangzhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Guangzhou Writers Association, Guangzhou Literary and Art Critics Association, Writers Association of various districts, and representatives of young writers in Guangzhou attended the event.
Pi Jian, director of the Literature and Art Department (Film Department) of the Propaganda Department of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee and a first-class researcher, awarded the Guangzhou Writers Association the "Pearl River Literary Creation Base" plaque to the Guangzhou Writers Association. Zhang Xin, chairman of the Guangzhou Writers Association, delivered a speech and summarized the literary history of Guangzhou and the fruitful achievements in recent years.
Chen Chongzheng, head of the Pearl River Literary Creation Base, vice chairman of the Guangzhou Writers Association, and director of the editorial department of Guangzhou Literature and Art Newspaper and Periodicals Agency, reported to the participants on the preparation of the base and the next step of work ideas.
Chen Chongzheng said in his report that the series of activities carried out by the Pearl River Literary Creation Base will adhere to the principle of "universal benefit" and "focus": "I hope to expand the coverage of the activities and benefit more writers, and at the same time, the lighting of the stage will be invested in writing works in Guangzhou, and the resources will be tilted toward young writers and writers and works with literary talents."
Jiang Shuzhuo, chairman of the Guangdong Writers Association, held the Pearl River Literature Forum for young writers with the theme of "Guangzhou Literature in the Context of the New Era". Combining detailed theories and cases, he summarized the achievements of Guangzhou literature in recent years of continuous innovation and the emergence of new literary forces.
"Not only local writers in Guangzhou, but also writers who work and live in this city can be integrated through the Writers Association and the creative base, which is a good phenomenon." Jiang Shuzhuo said, "Young writers have an important role in promoting the development of regional literature, and they and the development of the base are also mutually reinforcing. ”
According to the organizers, the "Pearl River Literary Creation Base" is the second Guangzhou Literary and Artistic Creation Base established after the "Guangzhou Children's Cantonese Opera Textbook Drama Practice Base", jointly built by the Guangzhou Writers Association and the Guangzhou Literary and Art Newspapers and Periodicals, whose main function is to revitalize Lingnan literary resources, cultivate young writers, promote literary exchanges in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and strive to create a diversified literary space that activates Guangzhou's literary atmosphere and explores literary innovation and development.
This year, the Pearl River Literature Creation Base will hold the Pearl River Literature Forum, the Pearl River Literature PEN Club with the theme of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Literature Seminar, and the Pearl River Literature Writing Camp, employing writers and editors as mentors, providing professional guidance for young writers in Guangzhou in the form of mentor-apprentice pairing, "inviting influential writers and editors in", so that Guangzhou's works can "go out" and benefit more Guangzhou writers.
