This is the first time that Fuzhou Municipal Roads has launched an AI intelligent unmanned road sweeper. The unmanned road sweeper uses a lidar scanning system and an intelligent AI identification system, equipped with high-performance sensors such as lidar, camera, and combined navigation system, with functions such as automatic driving, precise positioning and cleaning, detection of curb stone edges and brushing, detour or give way when encountering obstacles, identification of traffic lights, and crossing sidewalks.

In November 2021, Fujian Dongfei Environmental Group Co., Ltd. pioneered the introduction of AI intelligent unmanned road sweeper developed by Fujian Ronggong Environmental Protection Machinery Co., Ltd. (stock code: 873346) and Shanghai Yuwan Technology Co., Ltd. in Fuzhou. After half a year of operational safety testing, the AI intelligent unmanned road sweeper served Huada Street in Gulou District, Fuzhou City for the first time.

The reporter saw at the scene that this intelligent unmanned road sweeper is about one person tall, the front of the car and the carriage line are smooth, and it is advancing on the non-motorized road. During the operation, the body constantly issued "Autopilot, please pay attention to avoidance!" "Voice prompts, as the circular broom in front of the car keeps turning the dead leaves, cigarette butts, plastic bags and other garbage on the road are cleaned up. During operation, when people and vehicles approach, they can avoid it in time.

Liu Yingqiang, a test engineer at Shanghai Yuwan Technology Co., Ltd., opened the door of the cab of the intelligent unmanned road sweeper and introduced that the cab is equipped with a host, dashboard, display, reversing rearview mirror, camera, etc. "The whole vehicle is composed of sensors including lidar, camera, high-precision GPS, etc., which can be manually, computerized, and automatically controlled to clean the road surface."

Liu Yingqiang revealed that the intelligent unmanned road sweeper is still in the debugging stage. This is the first time that the test has been carried out on the auxiliary road of the municipal road, and the difficulty coefficient is relatively large. Because there are many pedestrians and vehicles on the municipal road, the road conditions are more complicated, which is a difficult problem to be overcome, so it needs to be repeatedly debugged before it can be officially put into use.

Chen Bin told reporters that the AI intelligent unmanned road sweeper speed is controlled at 8 kilometers per hour, the company through this intelligent unmanned road sweeper can form a closed loop operation on both sides of the drum screen road, can improve work efficiency, reduce the safety hazards of manual operations, can also reduce the amount of workers' work, sanitation workers as long as they strengthen the operation on the sidewalk.

After a period of road operation, the test work of this AI intelligent unmanned road sweeper has entered the end. At present, the AI intelligent unmanned road sweeper is running on a trial basis in some sections of Gulou District of Fuzhou City, and will soon be rolled out in more blocks in the future. (End)
