The Times: The Premier League's broadcast rights fee in South America has increased significantly, reaching £250 million over three years

According to the Times, after reaching a new contract with Disney-owned ESPN, the value of the Premier League's broadcast rights in Brazil and other parts of South America will increase significantly.

Premier League broadcasts are said to be worth £250 million over a three-year period from 2022 to 2025, up 35% from the previous one. Although the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the value of most events, the contract still shows the huge commercial potential of the Premier League.

In November, the Premier League's broadcast rights in the United States sold for 6 years and 2 billion pounds, and with the addition of south America and other Central and North American regions such as Canada and Mexico, the Premier League's overseas broadcast rights will reach 5 billion pounds from 2019 to 2022, which was unimaginable a decade ago.
