There is a documentary in Japan called "The Fruits of Life", which tells the beautiful story of the architect Shuichi Tsubata and his wife who accompanied each other in the last years of their lives. The two elderly people live in a self-designed forest hut where they grow hundreds of fruits and vegetables in their courtyard.

From youth to twilight years, the long-flowing life story between them is moving.

When I was a teenager, I had many reverie about the appearance of love, and I often flashed exciting and even thrilling pictures in my mind. However, as I grew older, I gradually understood that love cannot be vigorous forever, and the most beautiful emotions are hidden in ordinary days.

This ordinary and great love knows no borders and has nothing to do with race. It looks like a glass of plain boiled water that doesn't need to be vigorous, but can penetrate into every inch of your daily skin.

"London Family" is a film based on the real life story of Raymond Briggs's parents, the main line of which is the story of an ordinary British couple - Briggs couple from acquaintance to marriage, having children, coping with war, and spending the rest of their lives together until their deaths.

The whole story unfolds in the historical context before and after the Second World War, and the life experience of the Briggs couple seems ordinary, but the story of their perseverance and mutual dependence has touched the hearts of countless audiences.

Ernest Briggs, an ordinary milkman in London, passed by on a bicycle from the large family where Ethel worked. Ernest mistakenly thought that Ethel, who was standing in front of the window shaking ash, was greeting him, so he happily took off his hat in response. After that, the two look forward to a chance encounter in front of the window like telepathy, which opens a wonderful fate between them.

Quickly falling in love, they soon married, and Ethel quit her job as a maid and moved into a large house with Ernest. As working-class people, they decorated the house into a warm and beautiful home through little by little effort, and they spent a life full of sour, sweet and bitter but wonderful enough together in this place.

"A London Family" begins with a nostalgic approach to an old memory, followed by a picture book throughout the film to show the Briggs couple's life experience. Although they have encountered war, the whole picture book style is warm and moving, vividly showing the ordinary but moving life of this ordinary British couple.

"The most romantic thing I can think of is to grow old with you." This lyric has become the most beautiful expectation of many people for love.

The Briggs have really done this, from the time they met until they died, they have been warming each other with a little bit of love, and managing this relationship for a long time.

None of them were educated, Ernest was just an ordinary milkman, but they filled and transformed the empty house with their hands. Ernest bought second-hand sofas from the countryside at a low price, and Ethel made comfortable sofa covers for them; the coal storage room was full of dust, and Ernest helped his wife to rebuild a new storage room in the garden.....

It wasn't until they were 38 that the Briggs welcomed their first child. Together, they work to create a rich and healthy family environment for their children, sending them to grammar schools, and doing their best to support him in attending his favorite art schools.

There is no thrilling experience between Ernest and Ethel, however, they compose a real life song through industrious hands and an optimistic attitude towards life. They may not have the money to go to an upscale café for afternoon tea, but they can still support each other in their later years and watch the sunset together.

The love between the two is a careful operation of the long stream.

The world in fairy tales always makes people yearn for it, and their imaginations are like: the ugly duckling turns into a white swan, Cinderella transforms into a princess and falls in love with a prince, and Sleeping Beauty is saved by a kiss from a prince... These stories are thrilling, but they don't point to real life.

In real life, the lives of most people are ordinary, and they go forward step by step along the ladder of life. We are all bound to experience the trials and tribulations of life, to experience the sour, sweet and bitter taste of the world, and the moving thing about "London Family" is that it tells the true life story of an ordinary couple.

Originally, we thought that only princesses and princes in fairy tales could be happy, but "London Family" told us that real-life stories can be so vivid and beautiful.

In the first season of "Friends", the protagonist Rachel ran away from marriage and turned to friends, but has been living on his family's credit card. Encouraged by her friends, she bravely cut out all her credit cards. Friend Monica patted her on the shoulder and said:

"Life sucks, but you are gonna love it. )”

Yes, the real world is occasionally bad, but it's also heartwarmingly beautiful.

The world is so big, people have their own joys and sorrows. In real life, what we feel more is the ordinary life appearance day after day. Prosperity disappears in an instant, and what can be left is the daily life of those thin waters and long streams.

May people be long-lasting and permanent in their hearts. The most beautiful love is often hidden in the most ordinary days.
