The Embassy in Qatar once again reminds Chinese citizens to take precautions against the epidemic

According to the WeChat public account of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the epidemic situation in Qatar has continued to run at a high level with the spread of the new coronavirus Omicron mutation in many countries in the world recently. Qatar has seen more than 4,000 new confirmed cases per day for several consecutive days, a new high since the card outbreak and another death. According to the embassy, more than a dozen Chinese citizens in Qatar have been confirmed, including some travelers who intend to return home in the near future.

In order to ensure the health and life safety of Chinese citizens in Qatar, the Embassy once again reminds the vast number of overseas Chinese in Qatar to attach great importance to epidemic prevention and control, strictly protect themselves, and protect their own and their families' life, health and safety. Passengers who insist on "non-essential, non-emergency, and no travel" and do have urgent travel needs must strictly follow the requirements issued by the embassy for pre-departure isolation and testing. Pre-departure isolation should be done in a single room and without contact with others. When going to the hospital for testing, personal protection should be done to avoid cross-infection in the hospital, and self-isolation should be strictly implemented after testing. Protective equipment such as N95 masks, medical face shields, and medical gloves should be worn throughout the journey, and protective clothing should be worn if conditions permit, effectively reducing the risk of infection on the journey.
