The archaeological team found the tomb of a 9-year-old girl, luxurious and not inferior to the emperor, but the four words on the coffin frightened everyone

A gentle gust of wind awakens the body that has been sleeping for a thousand years; a gentle gust of wind blows away the mysterious veil of history. Standing on the shoulders of time, I talk to history.

For archaeologists, the discovery and excavation of tombs is their normal routine, and the various cultural relics they carefully excavate will eventually return to the hands of the state and become the collection of museums. However, even such a daily tomb excavation often has waves.

In 1957, archaeologists from the Institute of Archaeology of the Mainland Academy of Social Sciences accidentally discovered the tomb of Li Jingxun, the most complete and highest-grade Sui Dynasty tomb, near Liangjiazhuang in the west of Xi'an.

It is worth mentioning that this girl named Li Jingxun was nine years old when she was buried, and after opening her tomb, she found that the luxury of her funerary products was not lost to the emperor. What kind of four words were engraved on her coffin that would frighten the "battle-hardened" archaeologists? Let's move on.

After discovering a tomb, the archaeologists carefully opened the tomb, and as the tomb walked down, they were immediately greeted by a coffin and a tombstone standing in front of it.

On the tombstone there is an epitaph: "Sui Zuo Guanglu Dafu Qizhou Thorn Shi Li Gong Fourth Female Shi Zhi Ming and Preface": Girl Zhen Jingxun, Character Child, Longxi Chengjiren. Grandson of Zhuang Gong, the governor of Youzhou in the Shangzhu Kingdom, and the fourth daughter of Zuo Guanglu's Grand Master Minzhi... Raised by his maternal grandmother Empress Dowager Zhou, he trained Changle to see the grace of kindness alone; he taught the deep palace and obeyed the virtue of obedience and obedience... On June 1 of the fourth year of Daye, he finally met with illness and finally reached the Fenyuan Palace, when he was nine years old.

According to this epitaph, coupled with later information, the identity of this nine-year-old girl Li Jingxun was also revealed....

According to the epitaph and the relevant literature, Li Jingxun's family lineage is very prominent, and her great-grandfather Li Xian was a great general of the Northern Zhou Dynasty. Her grandfather, Li Chong, was a famous general of a generation, a young retinue of Emperor Wu of Northern Zhou, Pingqi, and then fought with The Sui Emperor Yang Jian to fight the world, and the official was supreme. Later, in the war against the Turkic invasion, he was martyred at the age of 48.

It is worth mentioning that Yang Jian and Li Chong's friendship is very deep, so Li Chong's son Li Min was able to enter the palace at the age of seven and was loved by Yang Jian, and Li Min was Li Jingxun's father.

Li Chong's son Li Min, who was also the father of Li Jingxun. Because Yang Jian remembered Li Chong's outstanding military achievements in sacrificing his life for the country, he also doubled his favor to Li Min and raised him in the palace since he was a child.

The Book of Sui says that Li Min was "beautiful in posture, good at riding and shooting, singing and dancing orchestras, and all incomprehensible." At the beginning of the reign of Emperor Xuan of Northern Zhou, Yuwen Yun of Northern Zhou and empress Dowager Yang Lihua (i.e., the eldest daughter of Emperor Yang Jian of Sui), personally chose a son-in-law, selected Li Min among hundreds of people, and made him shangzhu guo, and the later official was Guanglu Dafu. Then Li Min had a daughter, Li Jingxun.

According to records, Li Jingxun was doted on by his maternal grandmother Empress Dowager Zhou from an early age and has been raised in the palace. According to the epitaph, "Discipline the long pleasure, see the grace of kindness alone, teach the deep palace, and obey the virtue of obedience." However, "when the frost falls in the daytime, the yingmaid spring falls, and before the jade platform is ascended, it will mourn the day of Zelan."

However, on June 1, 2004, Li Jingxun died in the palace, when she was only nine years old. Therefore, the empress dowager Yang Lihua was very sad and buried her, so that she was only nine years old and was able to have a rather luxurious tomb.

However, when the archaeologists were about to open the coffin, they were startled by the four large words engraved on it - "the one who opens it is dead". These four big words made them take a cool breath. However, at that time, it was not long before the founding of New China, so the idea of demons and ghosts had been diluted, so they also naturally opened the coffin.

Gently opened, in front of you is a long-decayed silk linen fabric, about 70 cm long, 26 cm to 35 cm wide, and about 3 cm thick. This should be the quilt that covers the owner of the tomb.

After gently removing the quilt, the scattered human bones and burial items appeared. These include a large number of terracotta figurines, necklaces inlaid with jade, exquisitely structured bracelets, various forms of daily utensils, white and crystalline Xing kiln porcelain, gold and silver utensils from Persia... It is like a miniature bustling world.

According to statistics, a total of more than 230 pieces of burial items are placed in the narrow space of stone rafters and sarcophagus, in addition to the common pottery, a large number of treasures have been unearthed, such as goldware, including inlaid jewelry gold necklaces, inlaid jewelry gold plumes, gold rings and gold cups, gold jewelry and jewelry. There are also glassware, jadeware, steelware, bone, wood lacquerware and silk fabrics. Almost everything that people needed for their daily lives was buried without missing a beat.

It turned out that the origin of this nine-year-old girl was so not simple, and it was no wonder that she was able to get such a luxurious tomb at a young age.

What do you think about that?
