FIFA canceled the accumulated yellow card of the World Preliminary Round, and 10 Italian players such as Donnarumma did not have the risk of suspension

FIFA has cancelled the yellow card accumulated in the group stage of the World Qualifiers, so 10 Italian players, including Donnaruma and Barrera, are not at risk of suspension.

Italy will have to qualify for the World Cup finals through a play-off, where they will face North Macedonia on 24 March and, if they win, they will face Turkey or Portugal in the final.

If any of Barrera, Bernardsky, Chiellini, Chiesa, Donaruma, Insigne, Pellegrini, Pesina, Toloy and Tonaly are yellowed against North Macedonia, they will miss the potential final.

However, Chiesa will be absent no matter what, he recently suffered a knee injury, is about to undergo surgery, and the season has been reimbursed in advance.

FIFA has now zeroed out the cumulative number of yellow cards for the World Cup group stage, meaning that these players do not have to worry about yellowing against North Macedonia.
