01 Dreams come true
Born in 1957, Fu Pingshan grew up listening to the stories of one anti-Japanese hero after another, so he had a dream of joining the army from an early age.
He imagined those anti-Japanese heroes, becoming a glorious Chinese soldier, defending the country and the people!
However, at that time, Fu Pingshan only had a vague concept of a soldier, and he did not know how to become a soldier.
Even so, he never gave up his dream of becoming a soldier.
In order to become a soldier, he trained and lived according to the methods in the old man's story, running constantly every day to exercise his physical strength, or lying on the ground and aiming at a tree not far away with a wooden gun.
Whenever he saw Fu Pingshan like this, the elders in the family did not stop it, but just smiled.
Although they also hoped that Fu Pingshan's wish would come true and that he would become a soldier who defended his family and the country, where was it so easy to become a qualified soldier?
Slowly, Fu Pingshan grew into a big boy, but his dream was still not realized.
Even if his dream is far away, he is still unwilling to give up, in order to get closer to his dream, he was admitted to the sports school.
On weekdays, although the school training is tiring, this is nothing to Fu Pingshan, because he always remembers his childhood dream of becoming a "glorious Chinese soldier".
As long as you are willing to pay, you will have the opportunity to realize your dreams, and Fu Pingshan also waited for this opportunity as he wished.
In December 1976, Fu Pingshan passed the examination of joining the army and became a Chinese soldier he had been yearning for since he was a child.
The moment he held the uniform in his hand, his excitement was beyond words, and looking at the military uniform in his hand left tears of excitement, he finally fulfilled his childhood dream, when he was only 19 years old.
After joining the army, Fu Pingshan showed more active performance, not only exceeding the training in his daily life, but also making many achievements in the execution of tasks.
Although he was still young, many veterans admired him and even said: "We are not as good as he is at his age." ”
Only a few years after joining the army, Fu Pingshan won four third-class merits and was also rated as a model cadre by his division. As he became more and more outstanding, more and more meritorious deeds were made, and his ranks continued to increase: squad leader, platoon leader, company commander...
It is admirable that no matter in that position, he has always worked hard and done his work conscientiously and responsibly.
At this time, he was no longer the teenager who had just received the military uniform and was so excited that he could not help himself; now he was particularly clear about the mission entrusted to him by this military uniform, and he also had a further understanding of his identity as a soldier.
As a soldier, obeying orders is his duty, defending his family and defending his country is his mission, as long as the motherland needs, he can give up everything, even his precious life.
02 Going it alone
In 1979, a counterattack in self-defense against Vietnam began, but this situation was not favorable to us, so we ended the battle as soon as possible and won the battle.
In the end, after a deliberate decision, our army decided to set up a new special reconnaissance unit, code-named "Flying Tiger."
When Fu Pingshan heard the news, he actively asked to participate in the battle, and because Fu Pingshan was excellent in all aspects of combat, he was successfully selected and appointed as a deputy battalion staff officer.
In the days that followed, Fu Pingshan led his team, braving enemy fire, to sneak into the enemy's abdomen and carry out one dangerous mission after another.
At the end of December 1986, in order to end this battle as soon as possible and to win the final victory of this battle, our army ordered Fu Pingshan to lead the team to carry out a very threatening and arduous task, and they had to go deep behind the enemy alone to carry out reconnaissance and capture tasks.
Although at the moment of receiving the order, Fu Pingshan knew how arduous the task was.
However, Fu Pingshan and the members of his squad did not have any fear, because they knew that they were fighting for the country, for all the people.
After making the battle plan, Fu Pingshan led the members of the squad to set off overnight, and they finally arrived at the designated place after taking advantage of the night and experiencing many obstacles.
For safety reasons, the already small number of squad members were divided into several groups, some of whom were on guard around, some of whom were ambushed on the road, and some of whom were ready to retreat after successful capture...
At that time, Fu Pingshan, with several members of the team, ambushed on the enemy's only way to get water.
As the minutes and seconds passed, when the sky was gradually getting lighter, Fu Pingshan finally saw several enemy soldiers, coming to the site of their ambush to get water.
At this moment, Fu Pingshan tightly held the gun in his hand, watching the enemy continue to approach him, a little closer and closer, "Bang Bang Bang" Fu Pingshan seemed to be able to hear his own heartbeat at this time, he waited anxiously, but at this moment, the enemy who was constantly approaching him suddenly stopped.
The enemy frowned and looked in the direction where Fu Pingshan's men were ambushing, as if he felt something, and stopped moving.
Seeing the situation, Fu Pingshan's heart suddenly panicked, but he immediately adjusted his psychological state, silently planning the next step in his heart, as well as possible unexpected situations and corresponding countermeasures.
At this moment of anxiety, in the direction of the ambush of the members of the reconnaissance team, the voice of Vietnamese women shouting suddenly came.
"Help, help, this man..."
What's going on? It turned out to be a Vietnamese farmer who happened to pass by the ambush site of a squad member and stumbled upon the ambush of Fu Pingshan's squad.
The Vietnamese farmer's shouts were harsh in this quiet dawn, as if the calm sea had suddenly been stirred up by boulders.
At the same time, the hesitant enemy soldier raised his gun and shot in the direction of Fu Pingshan's ambush while shouting at the enemy camp in the rear.
"The enemy is coming, the enemy is coming..."
In an instant, the alarm of the enemy camp sounded, and in less than a moment, hundreds of enemy troops with all kinds of light and heavy weapons rushed towards Fu Pingshan and the others.
Fu Pingshan immediately made a decision and ordered the members of the squad to retreat immediately, while he himself returned fire on the enemy while laying earmines to delay the retreat of the squad.
During the engagement, Fu Pingshan was shot in the right leg and wounded, but even so he insisted that the members of the squad retreat first.
03 7 rounds of ammunition carried for 6 days
Seeing that the squad members had successfully retreated, Fu Pingshan gradually breathed a sigh of relief, although his physical strength was a few points better than others, his right leg still caused him great difficulties.
Stay in the green mountains, not afraid of no firewood!
At the same time that the squad members withdrew, the enemy was not far away from him, and in desperation, Fu Pingshan could only drag his wounded body into the woods next to him, expecting to retreat after dodging the enemy's search, or looking for an opportunity to capture the prisoners.
However, Fu Pingshan obviously underestimated his value in the eyes of the enemy and his determination to capture him.
After Fu Pingshan escaped into the woods, the enemy immediately chased him into the woods.
Faced with the pursuit of the enemy and the sound of gunfire from time to time from the rear, Fu Pingshan, who only had 1 pistol and 6 rounds of ammunition left at this time, had to use the cover of trees to hide in tibet.
As it got late, the enemy saw that there was no hope of arrest, so they deployed a large number of soldiers to guard the perimeter of the woods, and at the same time, they would continue to arrange troops to enter the woods to search.
The enemy could go into the woods in batches and in shifts to hunt them, they could get rest, they could get replenishment, and Fu Pingshan could only face them alone and hide.
In addition, the wound on Fu Pingshan's right leg had become more and more serious because he had not received good medical treatment, but he still did not give up the hope of life and was trying to avoid the enemy.
While avoiding the enemy, Fu Pingshan also made an analysis of the current situation, in his mind: after the enemy pursues for two to three days, the intensity of the search will be weakened.
What he did not expect was that the enemy's vigorous pursuit of him lasted for 6 days, and on the sixth day that Fu Pingshan escaped into the woods, the enemy army gave him an ultimatum.
On January 1, 1987, countless people were celebrating the arrival of the New Year, but no one expected that Fu Pingshan was now facing the hundreds of enemy troops surrounding him alone and desperately.
04 The remains were sealed in cement
After 6 days of round-up, the enemy finally lost patience with the capture of Fu Pingshan alive, but they did not plan to reduce their investment in the roundup, but they planned to never have any trouble.
The enemy found a translator who knew Chinese, and he shouted at the mountain forest with a loudspeaker, and they constantly threatened and induced Fu Pingshan to surrender.
Fu Pingshan listened to the enemy's words of persuasion and could not help but show a hint of ridicule, he raised the pistol in his hand, and fired a bullet at the enemy who was persuaded to surrender.
The bullet accurately knocked the enemy down, and the enemy died instantly.
After the enemy died, followed by another enemy who wanted to pick up the horn, Fu Pingshan raised his gun again and pulled the trigger without hesitation, but this time the soldier was not hit, but only injured and fell to the ground.
Fu Pingshan's counterattack annoyed the enemy commander, and he immediately ordered everyone to take out grenades and attack the woods indiscriminately.
At this time, the woods seemed to have been formed by these enemy troops with grenades to form a bombing area, and Fu Pingshan, who had long been exhausted and exhausted, unfortunately remained in the woods permanently.
Fu Pingshan, who was only thirty years old, died on the battlefield, and when the enemy found his body, in order to vent his anger, the enemy built him in the wall with cement.
The cruelty of the enemy against Pingshan surprised us, and after Fu Pingshan's death, it took a long time to find his body.
Later, after continuous investigation, Fu Pingshan's body was finally found.
After the body was found, due to the long time, the body had decayed, and only one head was brought back to China.
When Fu Pingshan "returned home" in a different way, he was buried in the martyrs' cemetery.
In September 1987, the commander of the Chengdu Military Region at the time, after consulting with many commanders, signed an order to posthumously commemorate the first class merit of the martyr Fu Pingshan.
