According to Yahoo Japan, on the 17th local time, Kobe Victory Ship officially announced that the team plans to set up a commemorative bronze statue for Spanish legend Iniesta in front of the team's home stadium Misaki Park Stadium.
It is reported that the commemorative bronze statue is expected to cost 15 million yen (about 832,500 yuan), and another 30 million yen (about 1.665 million yuan) will be spent to build an Iniesta-themed children's play area in Misaki Park near the main stadium, including the cost of donating related amusement facilities.
Since joining Victory Ship Kobe in May 2018, Iniesta has played 101 matches for the team in all competitions, scoring 23 goals and assisting 23 times, helping the team win the 2019 Emperor's Cup and the 2020 Japan Super Cup.
