Binzhou Daily/Binzhou News On the morning of January 15, the opening ceremony of the "Insect Feng - World Rare Insect Specimen Exhibition" was held in Binzhou Museum. This exhibition is the first popular science exhibition of Binzhou Museum in 2022, focusing on more than 1,000 rare insect specimens from more than 30 countries on five continents of the world, providing the audience with a wonderful feast of insect knowledge.
Zheng Tongxiu, director of Shandong Museum, Li Ping, deputy director of the Publicity Department of Binzhou Municipal Party Committee and secretary of the Party Group of Binzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Su Chengyu, first-class researcher of Binzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, and Gao Xiaoyong, director of Binzhou Museum, attended the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was presided over by Su Chengyu, and Li Ping and Zheng Tongxiu delivered speeches at the opening ceremony.
The exhibition is divided into five units, the first unit outlines the origin and evolution of insects, through fossils and amber specimens, so that the audience can truly touch the ancient times; the second unit introduces the classification of insects, selects the top ten in the insect world, and refreshes the audience's cognition with amazing data and examples. The third unit introduces the body structure of insects, describes the morphological functions of insects' mouthparts, antennae, feet and wings, and makes abstract knowledge materialized by detailed pictures and realistic models. The fourth unit shows "insects around us", each with its own characteristics of Local Insects in Binzhou instantly close to your childhood memories; the fifth unit is insects and culture, whether it is the "May Singing Cockroach Moving Stock, June Shaji Zhenyu, July in the Wild, August in the Universe, September in the Household, October Crickets Under My Bed" romance, or the long history of song insect culture in the Book of Poetry, are representatives of insect culture. In addition, there are wonderful interactive areas, VR experience areas, and photo punch areas, which are both colorful and interesting.
