It is said that in the late Qing Dynasty, there was a famous minister of the Six Dynasties, named Sai Shang'a. This Sai Shang Ah was once heavily influenced by the DaoGuang Instrument and once became the First Auxiliary Military Aircraft Minister. However, after the Xianfeng Emperor succeeded to the throne, Sai Shang'a, who was the chancellor of Chincha, was defeated by the Taiping Army, and was dismissed from his post and his family, and even his three sons were implicated.
Among the three sons of Sai Shang'a, one of whom was named Chongqi, who returned home to study behind closed doors after "losing his job" and changed the fate of the family in an instant. The concubine of Emperor Gongsu that I want to talk about today is the concubine born to the concubine of Sai Shang'a, that is, the sister of the only bannerman of the Qing Dynasty, Zhuang Chongqi.
At the beginning of the eleventh year of tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty, the empress dowager of the two palaces ordered the Eight Flags draft to be held for the Tongzhi Emperor to determine the empress candidate. Emperor Gongsu's noble concubine participated in the draft as the mongolian blue flag woman, and in addition, the obedient niece, that is, the daughter of the Great Qing Emperor Chongqi, Alute, also participated in the draft, so there was a scene of the two nephews participating in the draft together, and it was unexpected that in the end, the two nephews were all selected.
Why? One of the reasons is that the two concubines and nephews of the Gongsu Emperor have better personal conditions, and more importantly, the two of them have a supporting patron, and this person is Empress Dowager Ci'an.
It turned out that this Chongqi was the son-in-law of Duanhua the Prince of Zheng, and Duanhua's concubine Fujin was the aunt of Empress Dowager Ci'an, that is, Empress Dowager Ci'an and Lady Chongqi were cousins. For her cousin's sister and daughter, how could Ci'an not support it? As a result, the two nephews entered the palace smoothly, but since Gong su belonged to the younger daughter of Shu Chu and was three years younger than the age of his niece Alute, it was the Arut clan, later Empress Xiaozheyi, who was finally chosen as empress, and Gong Su was given the title of concubine.
In fact, Tongzhi ruled for only two years after marriage, during which time Gongsu's sense of existence was very low, and the main contradictions were concentrated in Empress Dowager Cixi and her daughter-in-law Empress Xiaozheyi. The final result was that the 19-year-old Tongzhi Emperor died young, and the 22-year-old Empress Xiaozheyi also committed suicide, leaving only four concubines of the Tongzhi Emperor, including the Gongsu Imperial Concubine, who had already been named Concubine Xun.
Since then, Emperor Gongsu's concubines have been living in the harem as concubines, and she is not welcomed by her mother-in-law Cixi at all, who would rather be close to Emperor Guangxu's concubines Jinfei and Zhenfei than look at the three of them more. However, when it was time to be promoted, it would not fall, and in the twentieth year of Guangxu, Cixi celebrated her sixtieth birthday, and The noble concubine of the Gongsu Emperor was honored as a concubine of Xun.
Later, when Emperor Xuantong succeeded to the throne, Gongsu was honored as Emperor Kaoxun's noble concubine, and moved to the Chuxiu Palace where his niece Empress Xiaozheyi lived before her death, and after the fall of the Qing Dynasty, Emperor Gongsu continued to live in the inner court of the Forbidden City, and did not die until 1921, at the age of 65, with the title of Gongsu Emperor Guifei.
