The number of soldiers killed in the Battle of Shangganling was 5.7 people per square kilometer, but in the Battle of Nalakou, the number of soldiers sacrificed per square kilometer was as high as 90, and the degree of the battle is unimaginable, and the protagonist of our story today is the Ma Zhanfu soldier who died in this battle.
In this battle, Ma Zhanfu and his teammates waited for opportunities around the enemy army, ready to attack, but the cunning enemy was always on the edge trying to break through the encirclement.
Among them, Dong Yong'an was unfortunately hit by the enemy's cold artillery, in order to protect his teammates from being discovered, Dong Yong'an gloriously detonated the bomb, heroically sacrificed, and exchanged his life for our forward movement.
At the behest of his superiors, the sound of artillery fire rang out from everywhere, and Ma Zhanfu and his teammates launched a fierce attack, and the enemies were killed one after another in the artillery fire. The squad leader led the soldiers to charge heroically, and soon occupied the enemy high ground, but was forced into a dilemma by the strong artillery attack of the other side.
At this time, the agile Ma Zhanfu broke through the obstacles and broke through the enemy's defenses, but in the process, he was hit by bullets and injured in many places.
Ma Zhanfu fainted in the strong impact of artillery fire, and he woke up in a trance, and when he saw that his comrades around him were suppressed and helpless, he gritted his teeth and crawled under the enemy fortress with his hands and feet.
At this critical juncture, Ma Zhanfu threw a bomb at the enemy's fortress, and even blocked the enemy's muzzle with his body, and he used his life to open a passage for his teammates. His teammates witnessed his sacrifice and endured grief to break through the siege and wipe out the enemy.
Eleven first-class merits and eight second-class merits emerged in this battle, and Ma Zhanfu was awarded the first-class merit commendation and praised as a "Huang Jiguang-style hero".
Before the war began, the soldiers all left their last words, Ma Zhanfu could not write, he left his attachment to his mother in the phonograph, and he shouted more than twenty women in the audio.
He wanted to be able to see his mother in peacetime, and the soldiers around him were also infected, and they resolutely rushed to the battlefield with the expectations of their families.
Why is it deserted in front of the hero's grave
Ma Zhanfu was born in a small village in Qinghai Province, is a Hui ethnic minority, when he was a child, his family life was very difficult, often ate a meal without eating, in order to have a chance to survive, but also in order to better serve the country, he joined the army as an adult and became a soldier.
Then he entered the famous 4th Company of the 417th Regiment, responsible for the lurking mission in the Battle of Laoshan, in order for his teammates to better break through, he bravely charged, used his body to open the way for others, sacrificed his young life, his life has come to a magnificent end in just twenty years, but the heroic spirit will always live on.
When the old man heard the news that his son had been sacrificed, he could not calm down for a long time and burst into tears.
In that barren era, the poor family could not even visit the grave of its own hero family, and Ma Zhanfu's mother lost her beloved son, but she could not even see the grave of her son. Until Ma Zhanfu's mother died, she still thought about her son and told her family to go and see Ma Zhanfu.
Until 2012, with the help of many surviving veterans and caring people, Ma Zhanfu's brother Ma Zhangui was finally able to go to Yunnan to mourn his brother, and he stood in front of the tomb for a long time, bringing his family's thoughts thousands of miles away to the hero and fulfilling his family's wishes.
Remember the martyrs
The soldiers who sacrificed themselves in the Battle of Laoshan sacrificed their precious lives, and Ma Zhanfu even more had the spirit of sacrifice to block the enemy's muzzle with his flesh and blood, and only for his comrades behind him to continue to charge.
In 2019, the memorial house was established at the battle site where the heroic martyrs of the Battle of Laoshan were sacrificed, and the government also established the "Zhanfu Road" in Tar Town to commemorate the martyr Ma Zhanfu, and also established a related memorial hall.
In the former residence of the Laoshan Memorial, various heroes' life deeds and relics were displayed, and the situation of the war at that time was shown to the visitors, and the propaganda of the patriotic road was implemented.
People who travel to Qinghai often go to their former residences to pay respects to the martyrs, the war has passed, but we can still learn the cruelty and bloodshed of the war from various materials, which will make us cherish our current life more and more able to appreciate the hardships of victory in that year.
