After a bloody battle, Liangshan Dazhai finally defended the Juyi Hall, but Yuan Qi was seriously injured, and most of the brothers were killed and wounded. Hu Yanqiu, who returned to the embrace of the imperial court, even wrote a letter to Song Jiang, saying that Liangshan would be captured sooner or later, and it was better to surrender as soon as possible.
After Hu Yanqiu returned to the Shun imperial court, because of his merits in encircling and suppressing Liangshan, he re-elected himself as the leader of the official army and was the commander of the imperial camp soldiers and horses.
