On January 14th and 15th, invited by the Olympic Cultural Festival and the 22nd "Meet in Beijing" International Arts Festival, the Sino-French co-production of the Chinese-French youth puppet "Mirror Flower Edge" by QFunTheater Children's Experimental Theater made its world premiere at the Beijing Intermediate Theater. "Mirror Flower Edge" is adapted from the novel of the same name by Qing Dynasty writer Li Ruzhen of the same name, and has undergone two years of preparation. The story takes the protagonist's search for twelve flowers lost in the mortal world as a clue, and begins a fantastic journey at sea, a journey to the unknown world. In a poetic and imaginative world of masks and puppets, the young actors of the QFun Theatre will lead the audience to encounter one strange country after another from the perspective of the protagonist Tang Xiaoshan.

This fantasy drama work, specially invited the French Philippe Letti Troupe as an artistic consultant, the famous actor Tao Hong as the supervising producer, the french creative team with romantic and colorful audiovisual performance, the integration of puppets, multimedia, sound and other diversified art forms, so that children become the absolute protagonists on the stage, to help children complete free expression. Chinese and French artists held the moon and set up a stage for the children to complete the world premiere at the "Meet in Beijing" Olympic Cultural Festival. Director Yard Grey said: "The text of this work itself is more poetic, and we want to highlight its poetic side on the stage, but also create a strong visuality. ”

Since its inception, QFunTheater Children's Experimental Theatre Company has insisted on incubating the "Chinese Original Repertoire Series", taking Chinese expression as the first principle, rewriting the stories of classical Chinese literature from a contemporary perspective, reflecting and reflecting on the lives of children today: the founding work "Shan Hai Jing" focuses on "misunderstanding and forgiveness" in parent-child relationships; "Zhong Kui" focuses on bullying in schools for young age groups; and "Red Children" explores how to fight prejudice. The troupe believes that growing up is a fascinating puzzle, and the creativity and critical thinking ability of children can bring great surprises to adults every time.
