On January 14, Beijing time, Australian Immigration Minister Hawke issued a statement today to cancel Djokovic's visa again. In his statement, Hawke said that exercising his rights under section 133C(3) of the Immigration Act, Djokovic's visa was cancelled on the grounds of health and good order, on the grounds that it was in the public interest to do so.

Djokovic's visa incident was the focus of the entire tennis world before the Australian Open. On January 4, Djokovic posted on social media claiming that he had received a medical exemption and was about to leave for Australia to participate in the Australian Open. Deyo was denied entry after arriving in Melbourne on 5 January and was subjected to lengthy cross-examination and detention.

Djokovic appealed on January 6, while he was transferred to a hotel for quarantine. After four days of waiting, on January 10 the federal court ruled in favour of Djokovic and he was set free. After regaining his freedom, Deyo posted on social media saying that despite all the hardships he had experienced, he still hoped to play at the Australian Open.

However, after Djokovic regained his freedom, events developed further. Djokovic's concealment of the itinerary, the failure to quarantine to continue to participate in the event after testing positive and other issues were exposed, and yesterday Djokovic made a further response to these problems, but it was counterproductive. As things spiraled out of control, Immigration Australia made the decision to expel Djokovic.

Despite being cancelled and deported by the Australian side, Djokovic still has the right to appeal further. Djokovic's team of lawyers will then appeal again in order to make a final effort for the 2022 Australian Open. However, there are still 3 days to go before the start of the Australian Open, and Djokovic's hopes of playing in the Australian Open are already very slim.
