French Open men's singles quarterfinals released: Deyo advanced for 14 consecutive years, Alcaraz vs Tsitsipas

After the first nine matchdays, all the eight quarterfinals of the French Open men's singles were released. This year's French Open quarter-finals have a total of seven seeds, with the lowest ranking being Echevelli, currently ranked 49th in the world. Alcaraz, Djokovic, Tsitsipas, Rune and other favourites have all reached the quarterfinals of this year's French Open.

Alcaraz and Tsitsipas, two high-seeded players in Zone 1/4, successfully met. Alcaraz has been on the back of his first four rounds, having conceded only seven of his last two matches, eliminating two seeded players, Shapovalov and Musetti, respectively. Former runner-up Tsitsipas was not put to the test in the first four rounds, and this clash with Alcaraz was his first seeded player at this year's French Open.

No. 3 seeds Edjokovic and No. 11 seed Kachanov will be vying for a place in the semi-finals of the other top half. Deyo went a set-streak in the first four rounds and reached at least the quarterfinals of the French Open for 14 consecutive years. Kachanov, on the other hand, has struggled to reach the quarterfinals in all three Grand Slam tournaments starting at last year's US Open.

The quarter-finals of Zone 3/4 will feature a Nordic duo showdown, with No. 4 seed Ruud and No. 6 seed Rune battling for a place in the semi-finals. Last year's runner-up Ruud continued his stellar performance at the French Open, winning 10 of his last 11 French Open matches. Roone's youngster fought in five sets in the last round to defeat Argentina's F. Cerendolo.

Zverev, who suffered serious injuries at the French Open last year, is back this year at Roland Garros and will face dark horse Edgevili for a place in the semifinals. Previously, Zverev eliminated two seeded players, Tiafo and Dimitrov, and reached the quarterfinals of the French Open for three consecutive years. Edgevili is the dark horse of this year's French Open, having eliminated three seeded players from Demine, Čurić and Echevery.
