I borrowed a Porsche Taycan in the past two days, and it is reasonable to say that it has nothing to say. It is just a most ordinary Taycan, and there is no "S", "4S", "Turbo" and other words on the tail mark that make people's blood pressure rise. A single motor, more than 400 horsepower, 5.4 seconds to break the hundred, looks very ordinary. But its color is very interesting – it's a pink Porsche.

In my understanding of cars, pink and gold are the most difficult paint colors to control, and no matter how good and classic the design, these two colors will destroy it in an instant. There have been local tycoons in the Middle East who have dressed up their Ferraris and Rolls-Royces as golden sparkles, and even really used gold as paint. But as a result, in addition to proving that they are rich enough, they also expose the superficiality of aesthetics.
From another angle, imagine replacing classic models such as jaguar E-type, Mazda RX-7, BMW E46 M3, Ferrari 458 and so on with a pink or gold livery... Forget it, don't think about it, it's terrible.
There are many classic car paints in the world that are bound to the model, such as Ferrari red, Honda white, AMG BS version of black and so on. Classic elements meet classic models, and they all produce a wonderful chemical reaction, which makes people feel relaxed. But pink and gold are definitely negative gains. If someone drives a pink car on the street, it will make people think that there is something wrong with his psychology.
However, there is an exception to pink, which happened to Porsche, and their former "pink pig" livery has become a classic. The story begins with the 917 car, which in the 1970s was built by Porsche to challenge the 400km/h Le Mans record. In order to reduce the turbulence generated by the wheels, the wheel arches became rounded and prominent, and the front of the car also seemed to be flattened by a shovel, which was much more bloated than the ordinary 917.
Such a out-of-shape 917, the owner of the main sponsor Martini said: He looks like a fat pig. And refused to put advertising paint on this car. Therefore, the Germans also humorously dressed up the car as a pink pork cutting chart and gave it the nickname "Pink Pig".
The "little pink pig" performed well in the 1971 Le Mans race, winning a 3-hour practice match and maintaining a fifth-place finish in the main event. Unfortunately, there was a brake system failure in about 13 hours and was forced to retire. If it weren't for the 1972 rule changes that prevented Pink Pig from competing, this "little pink pig" would surely have brought back an excellent result.
Of course, most of the classics of "Pink Pig" benefit from the story behind it, which also makes the pink livery tied to the 917. In addition to the 917, the pink Taycan is also an exception, it looks charming.
Its pink Porsche officially called "iceberry powder" is not the same as the 917 pink pig, its tone is darker, and the color temperature is colder. Not vulgar, but showing a hint of mystery and coldness. And "cold" is exactly the consistent impression that Porsche has given me.
In the case of 911, it has always given me a great sense of distance. The former 911 was difficult to control, so it earned the title of "widow maker". Since the 991, the assistance of electronic systems and the advancement of chassis technology have made it less difficult to drive the car, but it is still difficult to experience the joy of driving. It is a rail car, the limit is scary, and if it is approached to the limit, it will show the most primitive look - very scary. This is the sense of distance, the limit of the car is much higher than ordinary people, and it is difficult for ordinary people to have fun.
Naturally, this character of the 911 extends to other models, whether it's the 718, a small sports car, or the more lifelike Cayenne and Panamera. That's why I said that Taycan's "iceberry powder" is particularly in line with Porsche's image.
Although Porsche's designers have mastered the "pink" very well, not all motorists can match it. For example, I have been driving it unnaturally for two days, and I always feel that the drivers around me are throwing strange eyes at me. These glances begin with some anticipation, and then turn into disappointment. Maybe the flowery girl deserves such a sexy color, and sitting in the driver's seat so sloppy is a violent thing.
In fact, the car paint and the designer have always been consistent, a kind of car paint that makes people clap their hands and praise, must appear on a beautiful model. There is no doubt that the Taycan design is very exciting, although it does not have the rich artistic atmosphere of the Italian sports car, but the precision industrial texture makes every detail of the Taycan extremely coordinated and regular.
Praise Porsche so much, because it is also a German car, Mercedes-Benz, BMW recently always do some strange designs. For example, BMW XM and Mercedes-Benz EQXX, two concept cars, once I thought that their designers did not eat something dirty and hallucinate, otherwise why such a thing?
It's weird to say it's good, it's ugly to put it bluntly. In order to label electric vehicles as "new", the design is how strange to come, how to make people uncomfortable, how to come, which is obviously not right. Although both the XM and EQXX are concept cars, they will eventually affect the production model. You see the Taycan is basically the same as the previous concept car Mission E, but the Mission E is an extremely beautiful model.
As for driving, there is no difference between the Taycan and the Taycan 4S that have been driven before. The only difference is that this pink Taycan is a rear-drive, so there will be more fun. And to my surprise, this time the Porsche engineers didn't kill that joy.
Its tail is very active and very controllable, and it can easily use the throttle to float, and slightly loosen the throttle and it immediately returns to the original route. This easy feel is great and reminds me of the handling texture of the 86.
