Qishan County, Baoji City: Travel through the ruins of ZhouYuan and visit the tomb of King Tai of Zhou (Ancient Gong Gong Father).

In a field about 400 meters north of Qiyang Village in Zhujiazhuang Town, Qishan County, Baoji City, there is a small tomb backed by the Jiankuo Ridge facing each other with twin peaks. According to legend, this is the tomb of the father of the ancient duke of The Western Zhou Dynasty, which is known by the locals as the "Tomb of the King of Zhou". On September 16, 2008, the Tomb of King Tai of Zhou was announced as the fifth batch of cultural relics protection units in Shaanxi Province.

At noon on July 1, 2016, on the way to Baoji City to take the public institution examination, my family and I drove through Qishan County to visit the famous Zhouyuan ruins here. On February 23, 1982, the Site of Zhouyuan was announced as the second batch of national key cultural relics protection units.

Zhouyuan is the ruins of the capital city before the Zhou people destroyed the Shang, including Fufeng County and the northern part of Qishan County in Baoji City, with a length of about 70 kilometers from east to west and a width of about 20 kilometers from north to south. Located in the western part of the Guanzhong Plain, it has fertile land and a mild climate. Since ancient times, this place has been an ideal place for human beings to flourish, and it has been described in the Book of Poetry: Zhou Yuan is as stubborn as a gourd.

From the end of the 12th century BC to the beginning of the 11th century BC, after the ancient gonggong father led his people to move to this place, he began to build the city and build a grand capital, known as "Qiyi". After three generations of the ancient gonggong, Wang Ji, and King Wen, they worked hard to govern and strengthened their national strength, becoming a powerful western princely state with "two of the three worlds". In the late 11th century BC, after King Wen of Zhou moved the capital to Fengjing, Zhou Yuan remained an important political center of the Zhou people. In the western weekend, Xijong invaded, and the place became a ruin.

Against the scorching midday sun, along the field path, we entered Jingdang Town in Qishan County from Famen Town, Fufeng County, Baoji City. Finally, come to Qiyang Village, on the northeast side of Zhujiazhuang Town, a small village full of historical sites. According to legend, when the Western Zhou Dynasty became king, in the sun of Qishan, he gathered the princes and held an alliance meeting.

Today, in the center of the village, there is a Taiwang Ancestral Hall, whose founding date is unknown, and once had a mountain gate, a dedication hall, an altar and a main hall. In the 39th year of Jiajing (1560) of the Ming Dynasty, when the Taiwang Ancestral Hall was rebuilt, statues of Wang Ji and King Wen were added, so the locals commonly called it the "Wednesday King Temple". At present, the existing archway and main hall have been built in recent years, and grand festivals are held here every spring and autumn.

Next to Qiyang Village, there is also a Neolithic Yangshao cultural site, known as "Qiyang No. 1 Site". On the cliffs on the west bank of the East River, cultural layers and ash pits can be seen, and a large number of pottery pieces can be collected on the surface. The pottery has clay pottery, clay gray pottery, sand red pottery, decorated with rope patterns, string patterns, poking patterns, additional pile patterns, basket patterns, and the shape of the vessels include bottles, pots, bowls, urns, pots, stoves, etc. On April 20, 1992, it was announced as the third batch of cultural relics protection units in Shaanxi Province.

The Tomb of King Tai of Zhou is located about 450 meters north of the Wednesday King Temple, at the bend of the road, which was once very desolate. In the "Chronicle of Qishan County", it is recorded that before the Ming Dynasty Wanli Calendar Year, the tomb of the Zhou Tai King was considered to be the tomb of the Zhou You. Shizhi County was debated by Bang Dong and justified his name.

In recent years, on the south side of the tomb of King Tai of Zhou, a square has been built, surrounded by a large number of grass and trees, and the green bricks under the tomb are wrapped. The tomb is conical in shape and well preserved, with a height of about 4 meters and a diameter of about 14 meters. On the south side of the tomb, there stands a stele tower wrapped around the stone stele inscribed by Bi Yuan, the inspector of Shaanxi In the forty-third year of the Qianlong Dynasty (1778) of the Qing Dynasty. Above the stone stele, there is a plaque with the words "Gong Tong Sun and Moon", and on both sides are inlaid with couplets of "Eight Hundred Years of Qiyang Zhaoji" and "Descendants of Ji Zhou And The Four Seas Dynasty".

Gu Gongfu was also known as "King Tai of Zhou". He was the leader of the ancient Zhou clan, the grandfather of King Wen of Zhou, and the founder of the Zhou Dynasty. Due to the coercion of Rong Di, Gu Gong's father led his clan to move from the land to Zhouyuan to promote the development of agriculture, and the Zhou clan gradually became stronger, promoted the culture of etiquette, and laid the foundation for the extinction of business.
