In recent years, the Kaili Municipal Federation of Literature and Literature has united and led the majority of members to work around the municipal party committee and the municipal government center, adhering to the work concept of "having a place to do something", not waiting for it, actively planning, taking the initiative to attack, doing everything possible to run the "Miaoling" publication, innovating the form of running the journal, expanding the content of the journal, and realizing that members have achievements, publications have quality, and services have goals. The journal "Miaoling", sponsored by the Kaili Municipal Federation of Literature and Literature, was founded in December 1985 and named "Incense Burner Mountain" (quarterly). In 1992, it was renamed Miaoling Literature; in 2003, it was changed to its current title; in 2017, it was revised and expanded, from the original 80 pages per issue to 200 pages. In 2021, it was again republished as a bimonthly magazine with 166 pages per issue. Generation after generation of publishers, grasping the baton, do a good job as heirs. In the past 36 years, Miaoling magazine has never interrupted its publication, and has cultivated a large number of literary talents for the prosperity of Kaili's literary and artistic career. In 2021, through the "Miaoling" platform, 2 members will be trained and transported to join the China Writers Association and 4 members of the Provincial Writers Association, achieving a historic breakthrough in the number of national and provincial members. At present, the "Miaoling" publication has become the only stable county-level large-scale literary and cultural publication in Qiandongnan Prefecture, which has produced a good influence inside and outside the state, and has gradually become a cultural business card of Kaili.

In the process of running the journal, the Kaili Municipal Federation of Literature and Literature overcame the idea of relying on other things, actively explored innovative ideas for running the journal, solved the problems faced, and broke out a path of willow and dark flowers.
Adopt thematic and project-based operation to solve the problem of insufficient funding. In 2021, in addition to the normal promotion of the bimonthly publication of "Miaoling", a series of special theme issues have also been planned. For example, in cooperation with Ximen Street, compile and print "Memories of Kaili Old Street"; cooperate with the development of the sour soup industry in the city, excavate the sour soup culture, compile and print "Kaili Taste"; cooperate with Lushan Town to compile and print "Qingping Light" and so on.
Eclectic use of talents to solve the problem of editorial team. Organize personnel to go out for training and further training, and improve the professional level of the executive editor. At the same time, responsible editors are hired to improve the level of column planning, drafting and editing. At present, 4 editors with fixed responsibilities are hired, including 3 members of the Chinese Writers Association and 1 member of the State Writers Association.

Cultivate backbone members, organize collection activities, and solve the problem of insufficient manuscript sources. Since the beginning of this year, it has organized backbone members to participate in more than 10 times of various trainings sponsored by the Luyuan Ethnic Class, the "Mountain Flower Writing Camp" and the Provincial Writers Association; the organization members have focused on characteristic industries and ethnic cultures, and gone deep into the countryside and enterprises to collect style. For example, silver embroidery, Kaili sour soup, red culture, ancient town old street culture and so on. In addition to editing special issues, we planned the design of regular bimonthly magazine columns, set up special columns such as "100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Party" and "Incense Burner Mountain", and published red theme manuscripts and local manuscripts in the Miaoling area.

Persist in carrying out the "Miaoling Literature Salon", and from time to time discuss the works of key writers, backbone members, and young authors, and create an atmosphere for the appreciation and creation of works. Since 2021, it has organized the "Miaoling Literature Salon" to enter Kaili College, into Liping, Jianhe and other counties, and timely use the network platform to follow up and push relevant activity information, expand the brand influence of "Miaoling" and "Miaoling Literary Salon"; with the work idea of rooting in the locality, close to the people and serving the theme, "Miaoling" has been affirmed by the majority of readers Each issue is specially invited to be active in the frontline of well-known writers' manuscripts, as the object of learning for local authors, in order to improve the quality and connotation of the publication.

Kaili is a rich place of Miao-Dong culture, and its personalization and uniqueness are the resource endowments for running "Miaoling". In terms of positioning, adhere to the "big literary feelings, big cultural vision", the national culture as the background and soil of literary and artistic creation; in the design of the publication, follow the connotation of national culture, absorb its essence, reflect the Miao Dong cultural elements, such as: the copper drum peasant painting elements into the cover design, highlighting the aesthetic characteristics of the Miao culture of the publication.
