Carrick's crimes were revealed in October last year, when a woman came forward to defend herself, saying she had been raped by Carrick, who forcibly drunk her and forced her to have sex with her.
The victim said that she would not have been alone with Carrick if she was not a police officer, when Carrick asked her out, used all kinds of rhetoric to trick her into drinking, threatened to seduce and coaxed both, and before long, she gradually lost consciousness.
When the woman woke up, she found herself naked and full of unsightly marks, she was very angry, but at this time Carrick had disappeared, she realized that she had been sexually assaulted, but for the sake of face, she still did not speak up immediately, and later after several psychological struggles, she finally plucked up the courage to stand up and accuse Carrick.
Carrick refused to admit the woman's allegations, but then 3 more women came forward to defend themselves, and so far, a total of 8 women have accused Carrick of rape against him.
Carrick is 47 years old, and the women have accused him of rape over a wide period of time, from 2009 to 2018. Using the convenience of her identity, Carrick was at large for many years before she was arrested, and the case shocked the entire London Police Department, when the Chief of Police said that she would definitely "pay close attention" to the case, but she did not intend to say more about it before the verdict, and Carrick has now been suspended.
It is worth mentioning that Carrick, who committed the crime, and another police officer who committed rape and murder, Wayne, are also friends of the same unit, and in September 2021, Wayne was sentenced to life in prison.
Although the murderers did not "pay for their lives", many victims were encouraged and intended to defend their rights.
