In 2020, the Department of Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, with the purpose of respecting, protecting and supporting the return of people-centered intangible cultural heritage inheritance practices to the community and returning to life, identified eight cities in Beijing, namely Dongcheng District, Shanghai Municipality, Wenzhou City, Qingdao City, Dongying City, Jingzhou City, Shenzhen City and Chengdu City to carry out the pilot work of "Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Community" nationwide. According to the relevant person in charge of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Department of Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film and Tourism, in order to carry out the "Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Community" activity, in 2020, the Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism carried out a total of 22 "Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Community" display, performance, experience, training, market and other activities in 5 pilot communities, as well as the Sichuan Yangqin of Daci Temple in Jinjiang District, the Sichuan Qingyin Heritage Base, and the Shuxiu Park Greenway in Anjing Town, Pidu District.
In 2021, on the basis of the five pilot communities that have been identified, two new points were expanded, namely the Bud Community of Fangcao Street in the High-tech Zone and the Tongziyuan Community in Zhao Town, Jintang County, plus 1 institutional point - Chengdu High-tech Taxation Bureau and 1 inheritance experience base - Sichuan Quyi Museum, and a total of 28 non-genetic activities were carried out.
Under the guidance of the Municipal Bureau of Culture, Culture, Tourism, Chengdu districts (cities) and counties and municipal intangible cultural heritage centers, on the basis of fully combining local intangible cultural heritage characteristics and mass resources, according to the actual situation of community planning, governance and development, and starting from the actual needs of community residents, plan to carry out more than 250 "intangible cultural heritage in the community" display, performance, training and other activities every year. That is, through the holding of 'people's big stage', 'direct access to intangible cultural heritage festival' and social practice and other activities, to provide an exhibition stage for community residents to learn traditional performing arts; through the construction of a community residents to share the marketing platform, explore the community residents to learn handicraft production of product sales model, for the community residents to produce craft products to find a market export.
