Qilu Evening News Qilu One-point reporter learned that in the past five years, the Jinan Municipal CPPCC has recruited and published various literary and historical books and 37 kinds of "Jinan Literature and History" publications, 62 volumes and 15.03 million words.

In 2021, as the final year of the current Jinan Municipal CPPCC, the achievements of literary and historical work are particularly eye-catching, and the "Jinan Historical and Cultural Dictionary" was compiled, the "Jinan CPPCC Literature and History Series in the New Era (Third Series)" and "Humanities Jinan Series (Third Series)" were compiled, and the 1959 literary and historical treasures of the Jinan Municipal CPPCC "Jinan Architectural History Draft (Mimeograph)" were revised and sorted, with a total of 12 kinds of 4.38 million words in the annual literature and history book works. Among them, the "New Era Jinan CPPCC Literature and History Series" focuses on major events, truly records Jinan's revolution, construction and reform and development achievements, and won the annual special prize; "Humanities Jinan Series" focuses on the culture of celebrities, The culture of Yanglian, folk customs, and the old scenery of the ancient city, vividly showing Jinan's deep and thick historical culture and beautiful and unique natural features.
It is understood that the "Jinan Historical and Cultural Dictionary" is divided into 10 categories such as construction settlements, scenic spots, historical events, historical figures, literature and art, classic documents, cultural education, folk customs, time-honored industrial and commercial brands, cultural heritage, etc., with a total of 880,000 words, which comprehensively integrates the research results of Jinan's cultural construction over the years, comprehensively and systematically shows Jinan's long historical inheritance and thick cultural accumulation, and is a large-scale tool book that comprehensively retrieves Jinan's historical and cultural resources.
The compilation of the book lasted for 7 years, and more than 30 experts, scholars, and CPPCC members successively participated in the planning, guidance, compilation, and review, and made hard work and made important contributions, which fully reflected the importance and support of people from all walks of life for the work of the CPPCC and their enthusiasm and love for the cultural construction of Jinan.

At the symposium, the author's representatives Zou Weiping, Yin Chengqian, Zhang Jiping, Xu Chunna, and Zhou Changfeng respectively introduced the creative process and feelings.
Among them, the "Annals of Xu Beiwen", compiled by Xu Chunna, associate professor of the Art College of Jinan Preschool Normal College, is compiled with reference to Xu Beiwen's diary before his death, showing readers a more comprehensive and true image of Mr. Xu Beiwen and providing a detailed data basis for further academic research.
Zhou Changfeng, the editor of the "Notes on the Chronicles of daming lake dynasties", described in detail the process of data collection and compilation of this book at the meeting, which fully reflected the rigorous and realistic style of literary and historical scholars and their work style of not being afraid of hard work.
Bi Xiaoqi, vice chairman of the Jinan Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, stressed: Centering on the comprehensive implementation of the major national strategy of ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin, it is necessary to strengthen the research, utilization, and publicity of literary and historical achievements, and earnestly give play to the function of "preserving history, providing political resources, uniting, and educating people" in literary and historical materials; it is necessary to always adhere to the characteristics of the "three relatives" of literary and historical materials, rescue and collect historical materials, and tell the "Story of Jinan" well; "write history in a democratic way and unite people by writing history," and constantly consolidate the common ideological and political foundation for the CPPCC to unite and struggle.
Zou Weiping, secretary of the party leading group and chairman of the Original Literature Federation, said that the publication of the literature and history series must persist in "coming out year after year, year after year, volume by volume," and stage a "big drama" for the construction of "cultural Jinan."
"We can open up various forms such as reportage, documentary literature, and illustrations of Jinan to improve the attractiveness of such series of books to young people." Zhang Yi, a member of the Jinan Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the editor-in-chief of "Towards the World Spring City", suggested enriching the theme of the series of books, and selecting past articles to collect them, using Chinese and English bilingual writing and distribution, so that the beautiful spring city can truly go to the world.
