Feng Jiuhe (1928- ), a native of Fuzhou, Fujian Province. Guo Junjie (1983- ), a native of Fuzhou, Fujian Province. Lin Fei (1954- ), a native of Fuzhou, Fujian Province. Lin Qingqing (1876-1948), a native of Fuzhou, Fujian Province. He studied under Chen Keying and learned the "West Gate School" carving technique. After summarizing the Ximen school round knife technique, integrating the concept of literati painting composition, creating the concept of "Boyi" carving, good at landscapes, flowers and birds, figures, and other literati themes, creating the highest realm of Shoushan stone boyi carving art, known as one of the generations of masters of boyi carving. During the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, it was known as "Ximen Qing".
The use of natural color of stone for carving is one of the biggest features in Shoushan stone carving art. On a piece of Shoushan stone, there are usually several colors such as red, black, and yellow, interlaced into natural patterns, and the carvers will determine the corresponding themes according to different stone textures, stone shapes, stone colors, and stone patterns, and combine their personal strengths to create. This also makes each Shoushan stone work unique, extremely artistic and ornamental.
